Hello? Hello? Is Anybody Here?

That's kind of the point of a senior forum. ;) We don't want no whippersnappers hangin' around here! (They're all on Tik-Tok anyhow.)
Wasn’t that tick-tack-toe and the could not remember that long of a word?
Back to my question - why do you consider yourself old? To me it is dentures in the water glass on the nightstand, bloomers, hair spray helmet hair cuts, pastels and purses with a direct connection to the underworld.

I don't "consider myself old," it is a fact based solely on the calendar. I'm happy to (mostly) have my mental faculties and I feel OK most days, but time will not be denied.

It has been absolutely gorgeous here in NJ, so, I am outside most of the day. There are a few of us who walk, then sit and chat about anything and everything. We are all nonagenarians, which make it easier for me to converse with those of my generation. When I see the ages of most on here or any other forum, I realize we don't have much in common at all. I do have a few good friends here who are much younger, but are very understanding when it comes to talking with me. So, I am not here all that often these days.

I was younger when this forum was younger as well, and spent tons of time on it. But my life has changed remarkably and it's always something or other it seems. Further, I don't enjoy discussing my health issues. Nor do I really follow those threads. I've had a lifetime of that.

At any rate, I do drop in to see what's happening and respond when I feel comfortable doing so.

That's understandable. Being outdoors with people who are actually there with you is better than sitting behind a computer and talking to people you don't know in real life, though both have a purpose. I don't think anyone would disagree with that, and we treasure whatever time you can give us, and we'll be here, hopefully, when and if you need us.

Unless it's raining or there's another reason I don't want to be outdoors, I usually work outside during the day, though I check in from time to time. When I come in for coffee, I'll often log in to see what's going on. I'm not "here" as much as it might seem, though. I work online, so the forum will be open in a tab, but that's not necessarily the tab that I am looking at.

10-4 Thank you Beth!
I spent a lot of time in the rabbit hole after my father passed. How SO had the strength to carry me, his career, my career and everything else? I do not know. But I do know that I am back and will not go into that hole again.
Time can bring out the best in us. SO aged very well and his silver suits him.

I usually stay inside allot after Easter when the temps drop quite a bit ,it’s been rather warm in the last week about the 30c ..86f mark, it was still rather warmish out yesterday when I was pulling the pumpkins out

We tend to hibernate over the cold months , sometimes don’t even go out dancing altho by going to the city it’s not usually as windy / cold providing the suns shining ( no snow here )

So that’s when I spend more time on line

I remember being shocked when my friend's daughter joined us for lunch and asked for a 'senior discount'! I remember her, a tiny little girl on the farm and now she is FIFTY-FOUR! Who the heck designated 50 as a senior anyway?!!!
Oh yeah, Ken. ;)

I remember back at the dawn of time when I turned 50, I got the AARP brochure in the mail and sunk into depression for months.

I can't imagine any of us can sit here all day. I peek in as I am in the kitchen periodically.

As a reminder, please feel free to invite anyone you'd like to have in the Seniors Only Club forum to join us, or to recommend the forum on your Facebook page, or wherever. The last time around, I wanted our forum to be as large as possible, but this time around, it's okay if it stays small. Still, it would be nice to have a few more members.
