Remembering my Victory Garden during WWII

My mom and dad went through the depression and WW2 on their old ranch house in north Idaho, and they grew most everything , had a milk cow and sold or traded the extra milk, and often took it to town with the horse and buggy. They did have an old Model T , but i think they probably saved the gas for times when they needed to use the car.
This is my mom getting the horse ready for the trip to town, probably in the 30’s or even early 40’s.

Love and survival instincts got us through it, and made us stronger.
Mom worked so hard during the war to make jellies, jams and canned vegetables to get us through.
After the war, and after my dad was hospitalized for awhile, I told my mom I would continue dad's garden.
She looked at me in horror and said 'You do that and I will personally
Break both your arms'! Maybe in jest???
