They may be crazy, but I bet they're honest.

(I bet you remember Birch Bayh.)

I liked Birch Bayh. I also liked Evan Bayh when he was governor. Richard Lugar was a Republican, but I liked him too. We've had some good politicians from Indiana. I'm an oddball but I liked Mike Pence as governor, and I didn't have a problem with Dan Quayle even though some people tried to make them out as idiots. At least I think they were of good character whether I agreed with their politics or not. Indiana was a good place to be raised in the 60's (especially my hometown of Anderson). Anderson has turned into a impoverished looking city after GM left. Even though I stated Indiana was a good place to be raised in the 60 s, I agree with that saying that you can never go home, at least that's true in my case.

I wasn't too far from you in Crawfordsville. We had a 4H fairgrounds in town. My dad managed the G.C. Murphy store in town. I was in elementary school when we moved, one older sibling graduated high school there, another was in his last year or two of high school, and one was a freshman. The older siblings have gone back to visit friends (we had no relatives there), but that was a long time ago. Satellite images look like Crawfordsville has grown...at least, my old neighborhood seems more crowded.

'Biscuit’ the dog is latest dead felon to get their voting rights back from Virginia Gov. Spanberger, confused owner says...
A Southside Virginia lawmaker is demanding an investigation after a constituent received an official rights-restoration certificate for his dog, Biscuit, a beagle-hound mix from Goochland County that died about five years ago.

The discovery follows the “Betty No Last Name” controversy in Chesapeake — where a purported convict lacking a surname had “her” rights restored — and raises fresh questions about the governor’s vetting process just days before voters decide whether to make felons’ voting-rights restoration automatic via an Election Day ballot measure supported by Richmond Democrats.

They are grooming Spanberger for the White House. She stole the state Senate seat that was her stepping stone to the state house when 15,000 midnight votes--all for her--mysteriously showed up.

Warming us up for the theft:

House Speaker Mike Johnson told staff on Wednesday morning that he would not run for minority leader after Republicans lost control of Congress in the midterm elections, two sources familiar with the announcement said.

Johnson handily won reelection to his Louisiana congressional district. But members of his party lost across the country on an election night that will put Democrats in the majority in the House and Senate in the next legislative session.

Contenders who've said they will try to replace Johnson as House leader are fellow Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise, the current majority leader, and Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, the current House Judiciary Committee chairman. https://www.yahoo.com/news/politics/articles/speaker-mike-johnson-wont-seek-153700123.html

Republicans never do anything with their majority when they have it, and that's a big part of the problem, although Trump didn't help.
I thought the majority of them were spineless and wouldn't stand up to him. That's why I think that some Republican Senate seats flipped. The Senators and the House are supposed to represent their constituents. A lot of citizens felt they weren't being heard.
