What Are You Doing Today?

I haven’t done much today. I am feeling bored and out of sorts. I can’t motivate myself to giddy-up and do something. I need to get my hair trimmed. I want to get a massage too. My neck and back have been hurting; probably from sitting in front of the computer too much.💻 I also have to schedule a bone scan. I haven’t had one in 15 years and my GYN wants me to have another one; just because. I haven't decided on that yet.

Also, I can't find anything to watch on TV lately that is that interesting, nor can I find a good book to read. Not much is making me happy here of late, it seems like. 🤷‍♀️
That does not sound like you Krystal. Go to the zoo and check out what you can wear or eat? Invite friends for a stitch ‘n bitch formerly known as cocktails and gossip? Get your hair done?
Bone scans are a breeze nowadays. Please get it. Meet a friend afterwards for coffee or ice cream or both.

Expected an easy day after serious PT and needling of my hip while dealing with a bout of allergies. Freezing night temperatures tomorrow so peppers have to be dealt with. SO is a saint for chopping, cooking, grinding. Tabasco, Nardello and something particularly mean are left out there but will have to wait until tomorrow. There is a holding line of several bowls waiting for a spot on the grill burner and grill. I am putting one batch of basically pepper purée up. Freeze in small flattened bags and use by breaking of pieces.

I got in a 1 mile walk and it was hard to put one foot in head of another.

I was ready for a power nap, when a friend called to tell me about the elementary school shooting in Bend, Oregon.

No motive yet and lucky a bystander had a handgun, and shot the 16 year old. He had already killed 3 students and 1 teacher. Heartbreaking!
That is one reason why you carry legally. Remember Luby’s?

Only thing on my agenda today, is going to the drug store to get new antibiotic. The culture came back and it showed a more severe, hard to kill, bacteria, so toss the old sulfa sissy stuff and start the new ass kicking stuff. I wonder why I still hurt so much. Seven days on this new stuff and I should be back to my abnormal normal, just waiting for 3 more doctor appoints, 3 lab test, and then surgery.

With all this antibiotic bombardment, I have upped my local natural, unsweetened, organic, full fat, yogurt intake. It has 41 billion friendly bacteria per 6 oz serving, so I went for 12 oz this morning. There is going to be some serious battles in my intestines. I wonder who had the time and patience to count 41 billion bacteria in a mere 6 oz serving? I reason that 82 billion friendlies battling who knows how many unfriendliest, will have me healing faster. There is going to be some serious deportation for the unfriendly invaders. :sneaky:

My wife will be going with me, but won't be physically doing much, if anything. We have to get our boat to local Marine Service to get it "winterized", before winter really strikes here. It will be a high of 75 today, but this morning it was 31 when I got up at 5AM. The temperature has to be in the "freezing" range for a number of hours, before that temperature can hurt the block/engine.

As far as how my wife is doing, I will make a comment about that in my thread about her extractions.

I am sorting and throwing today. Daughter is coming from VT Thursday so need to make a path to get her in the house. Hubby is doing stuff today too and that always makes me nervous. He said he was going to tighten the chain on my saw and then I saw him using his plug in saw. He stopped and said his chain was dull could I bring the farm saw home.
hmmmmm... Why can't he just rake/blow leaves like normal husbands?

It was sunny today so that is a good thing. I messed around outside with my new planters I bought. I put fake Boston ferns in them for the winter. I might get various colors of small fairy lights for the holidays to add to the ferns. We shall see.

I also went to Dillard’s this afternoon to browse around. I walked by the purses and a couple of them caught my eye. 👜 👁️ I oohed and aahed over them but in the end; I walked away. I had just bought a purse not long ago. I ended up buying a top and some earrings instead.

After taking our boat/trailer over to the Marine Service yesterday afternoon to be "winterized", except for doing a little grocery shopping this afternoon, the rest of the day will be relaxing at home. The Marine Service will call us when the boat is done. It wound up at 75 very sunny day yesterday. Perfect day to take the boat in.

Except going to the grocery store with me, if she decides to, she is resting today. Tomorrow, she goes back to work. Hopefully, this coming week will go better for her at work.

Either later today or definitely tomorrow, I will be making some more mashed potatoes for her us.

I wasn't going to post about my mundane day, but then this thread guilted me into confessing. Beside I know y'all are on the edge of your recliner, giving your hemorrhoids a break, so I will spill it.

Today starts the first of the doctor appointments and other test over the next 6 weeks, leading up to cancer surgery. Today is a comprehensive eye exam. After reviewing all the docs to visit, I see they missed one. No hearing test was ordered. What's that? I said, no hearing test was ordered! They will regret missing this important test.

Maybe they don't want me hearing all the scary things they say during surgery. :ROFLMAO: One visit I am dreading is the complete physical where I have to strip to the bare and wear that one size fits all gown designed by a pervert so they can see old ladies bare asses. I mean what old lady has the dexterity to reach around and tie that flimsy, ill fitting, robe of shame? During this visit, I will be asked to walk so the doc can view my gait from the rear. It is part of the neurological test.

I have had several of those neurological test. The doc says he will tell me 5 things, hound, blue, hairy. sand, and beach. Then at the conclusion of the visit after responding to a lot of questions and sashaying across the cold floor. barefoot, in a robe exposing my old ass, I will be asked to tell him what were the 5 words at the first of the visit.

"Beats the poo out of me doc, I'm mostly deaf and didn't get them. How about baboon, red, bare, permafrost, and tundra?"

How about giving him a list at the beginning and see how he does at the end of the visit?
I go deaf in my right ear. Found out all it needs is a good cleaning. I have pulled out what looks like ear canal shaped socks sometimes. Or balls of wax.

The weather just keeps getting colder, so today is officially “Put the flannel sheets on the bed” day. That is all done, and the summer sheets are being washed and put away until Spring rolls around again.
I enjoy sleeping on flannel sheets in the winter, and they are so much warmer than regular sheets.

Making rice and tuna fish for the kitty cats, they love having a nice warm breakfast, along with the dry kibble that they always have. We have a small window in the pantry where they can come in and out as they please, so they are now spending more time inside with the cold weather, and outside when it is sunny and warmer.
