I really have a problem with these cake containers. They are hard to open. But, the real problem is the loud, awful noise they make when you open it. Like a machine gun...it can wake the 'dead'! " Honey, I'm going to the kitchen to get some veggies, can I get you something ?" " No, I'm good..." So, I make it to the kitchen and quietly move to the Caramel Sour Cream Cake. I firmly grab the side and push down on the bottom plate and the 'Noise' starts RIP,RIP,RIP,RIP,RIP...etc. "ARE YOU GETTING INTO THAT CAKE! YOU SAID YOU WERE GOING TO GET SOME CARROTS!" CAUGHT! Can't think of a good excuse, so I Slink back into the living room, head down. She buys these containers on purpose, I know it !
Tim.... My first wife also had something like that, but I learned how to overcome the noise... I wouldn't put the lid on properly by leaving a bit unlocked so the next time I would open it up, it wouldn't make any noise.. however I would put the lid back properly when I was finished sneaking a piece, so if she would sneak a piece, I would hear her.... Imagine that... What we have to go through just to enjoy a piece of cake... Why does that piece of sneaked cake always taste better than the one that was served to me ??????
