My dreams when reiterated to my wife, seem to further enhance her opinion: "You're Nuts"! After my tiny breakfast this morning, I dozed off in my easy chair as she carried on her weekly talk with her Mother. I dreamed I was in the old back porch of the house I grew up in, opened the back door, and outside on the steps was our cat playing with a big gray rat! Shortly, 2 mice appeared. I recall thinking about the repercussions if the rat ran into the house, but it seemed no big thing. Then, the rat slunk in through the doorway, the cat followed, and the next thing I knew, I had grabbed one of the mice, fearing the result of all these intruders, and as I held the mouse, it was squealing, and I was appalled, afraid it would bite me, undecided if I should just throw it out the doorway, or crush it to death. That's when I woke up. Is my wife right?? Frank
Ha ha ! Well she knows you better than me Frank But my Fabs has 'animated' dreams, where cars and cats and dogs 'talk' ..................... I just laugh when he tells me
I am not a dream reader or whatever you call a person who explains the meaning of dreams but my impression of that kind of dream is that you are a very creative person. And with the mouse in your hand, I read it as a kind of decision block, meaning you have to make a decision on whatever issue is in your mind. By the way, there is a connection with those rodents - the rat is a big issue and the mouse is a small issue so what was in your hand was a small issue because seemingly the big issue had vanished just like that. But definitely, I cannot say you are nuts.
Last night, I had one of those strange dreams that left me pondering about it, too. I was sleeping soundly, and also dreaming something which I no longer remember at all, when suddenly I heard Bobby calling me in a concerned voice, saying "HONEY ! ! ". I was immediately wide awake, although part of my brain was distinctly complaining that I didn't want to wake up yet and the other part was worrying that something had happened to Bobby and he was calling for help. As I turned to look, I could see Bobby sleeping peacefully in the bed beside me; but I woke him up anyway to ask and make sure that he was indeed okay. He says that I just dreamed I heard him calling me; but I am not sure if I really dreamed that, or maybe HE was dreaming something and actually called me in his sleep ? Whichever it was, it sure seemed real, and woke me right up out of my sound sleep.
@Yvonne Smith - strange isn't it. Dreams can seem 'so real' but sometimes the relief that in fact it was just a dream
The absolute worst ever, for me: I sat up, suddenly, in bed, awakening from a dream, looked over at my wife, who then also sat up, but her eyes glared a greenish glow outwards, frightening me beyond believe! Next moment, I woke up, shaking, and slowly realized I had dreamed that I awoke from a dream, with terrible consequences. Now, she laid there quietly, did not sit up, and later, her eyes looked as they should! Frank
I had the weirdest dream last night. A black lady who is a long time friend showed up at my door and asked me to take her and her DGD in. I think there had been some kind of disaster and they were seeking shelter. I have an extra bedroom so I put them in there. Then somebody else showed up and I put one of them on the couch and put a cot for the other one. Then other people showed up and we closed in the carport and put cots in there. More peoples kept showing up and we put tents in the yard for them. I was wondering how I was going to provide food, bathroom facilities, etc. for them when I woke up.
