No, no it was my wife who picked and canned Tabasco peppers yesterday. She canned 5 pints to go with the 7 quarts we already had. Supposed to Freeze here Saturday morning so that'll be the end of the garden.
@Sheldon Scott I've always wondered this...do the peppers burn your wife's fingers, etc. when she's preparing them?
They don't burn when they are whole. I wear gloves and my wife leaves the kitchen when I make Tabasco sauce
I use Tabasco peppers to make tabasco sauce. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tabasco_pepper I also grow Jalapeno peppers and red Marconi peppers some years.
What are the Marconi peppers? Actually, I've been around peppers all my life yet no nothing of them. I have used Tabasco sauce and have eaten the peppers in the sauce bottle. I biought my first jalapeƱo peppers and grilled a half dozen of them a couple of years ago. I have used chili powder in red beans and buying good chili powder is a hit and miss. I see all these peppers in the grocery store but know nothing of them. Some are pretty hot.
The Marconi Peppers are sweet like bell peppers but ripen much faster are more prolific and IMHO taste better.
