I ordered a tub of ready-to-mix cement to repair a piece of the front porch step along with the usual household stuff, paper towels, etc.

A new handbag thanks to Macy's "friends and family" sale. Some scented drawer liner paper for my bedroom chest of drawers. A couple of pairs of shorts.

Your husband should try leg and hamstring stretches before bed. I have similar problems and was turned on to this by a physio. It helps me a lot.

Ordered from eBay 2 samsung cellphone batteries. Both mine and my wife's phone don't fully charge, they last a couple of hours before going dead.

Our mall was bull dozed a few of years ago with plans of a Meiers going in. Nothing yet. The mall used to be a destination. People went there to walk and shop and kill time. I miss it.

I want to touch clothes and try them on before I buy. The problem is that these days, most stores would be nothing but display cases people used in order to decide what they wanted to buy on line. You could not survive.

Same here. The mall that was closest to us has been bulldozed. I remember when that mall opened in 1980 or so; it was such a big deal back then. The "anchor" stores were Macy's, Dillard's, and Mervyn's, with a Sears heading up the other corner. My kids spent a lot of Saturday afternoons in the Kiddy area and then the arcade.

I use vacuum canisters extensively. I make a week's worth of salads at a time, and put them in a 1 gallon vacuum canister to keep fresh. The daggone seals seem to last about a year or so and then they leak down in a few hours/overnight. I cannot identify a suitable material to cut new seals from, so I end up going on EBay to buy replacement canisters (the canisters are no longer made.) I have yet to find any in second hand shops. They are not cheap.

I found a large/small pair on EBay that use the same diameter lid, so I should be covered for a couple of years.

Sometimes you can get more life out of the seals by coating it with cooking oil. We use to rub a drop or two around the gasket with our finger.
