I was just curious if you had listed it, yet. Sometimes they can sell before you do all the things y'all going to do to it. Nice that it cranked up, after that long of a time, not running, another plus for you. I can't do things as fast as I did when I was a younger man, either. Marie's six years older than me, so it's a challenge for her now. But I stay at it, just a little slower now.

Y'all do need to stay careful with the heat, that's for sure. Younger people even have heat strokes, surprised me some I've seen on the news, just falling out, playing ball, and stuff like that. Understand about the sun beating down on y'all, when I was putting the bimini top on mine, it was hot and I was doing it by myself, which was hard trying to hold it in place. Would've been easier with two holding it in place. I got it though, as you could see in the post above. Good luck, and keep us posted on how it goes.

We're not in Vegas, we are in the southeastern part of Henderson, just west of Lake Mead. However, how big Vegas metro is getting, it won't be long before Henderson and Vegas come together. Then again, there are residents in Henderson that don't want anything to do with Vegas.

Now we wish we would've sold the boat in Loveland/Fort Collins area, when we lived in Loveland. From looking at the boats/trailers in our Storage area and looking at boats that are being launched, people here don't want old/older boats. A lot of Henderson/Vegas is much more "upper-class" than Loveland is.

One thing for sure, we aren't even going to come close to selling our boat/trailer and get the money back we've put into both.

We didn't realize it before, but Lake Mead is entirely too big for us. We liked the small lakes in Colorado much better and was much easier to launch/retrieve there.

It's a MUST that we sell the boat/trailer before we move from here. A MUST!!

I'm not sure you're right, but you're there and would know more about what people want, I guess. If I were you, I wouldn't be putting that in everyone's ear, just tell everyone how nice your boat is and how well it performs on the water. Things like that will help sell it faster than pointing out negative things like age and such. Not that you are doing that, but you've pointed it out here more than once, and seems like you've made your mind up, it won't sell there. I would try looking ahead and put a positive spin on selling it. But that's just the way I think. Good luck.

Jake, what they may want to do is take a ride on the water in it. We can't/won't do that. If they want to know how good the engine runs. we will take it over to local water spicket and hook up hose to it and run drive/engine with muff on drive, but that's it. We also have video of it running on Colorado lake last July.

Oh, we'll talk good about the boat! If they want to know why we are selling it, we will tell them the truth. IOW, we're planning on moving and don't want to take it with us. Guess that better than telling them we're too old to use it anymore. Whomever wants to see the boat, will have to pay to get into the Park, unless they have a yearly pass.

We do hope that it will be easy enough to sell, but just don't know. There are a number of things, like "almost new" Tube, "almost new Full Cover, an Electric Winch/Remote (that most boat owners don't have), Porta-Potty, Fish Finder/Depth Guage and a few other things that we will give with the boat. Yes, "give" with the boat; no extra charge. Heck, we've even painted the seats with vinyl paint and they look great.

IOW, this boat/trailer is just too much for us to handle anymore. Sooner or later boating days do end and we believe ours has.

Only two lakes north of us that allow a gas engine: Lake Tahoe and it's very expensive to store a boat there and a much smaller lake, but it's only 12 feet deep total. Way to shallow for us! And, we don't want to store it in Carson City/Reno area and have to tow it up in the Sierra's (mountains) every time we want to go boating.

I understand, I wouldn't either. Good luck selling the boat to you and the wife.

I understand Cody, all you have to do is tell them "as is". Then stick to it. You may be surprised how fast it sells. You never know, if they try to hustle you, send them on their way, and the right buyer will show. Always someone looking for exactly what you selling. Keep the faith, it will sell. :)

I agree with Jake, the way I see it is if you don't think the boat is worth asking price than why should anyone else. Of course this is not always the case, but then from what you've said I think it is worth the price.

We loaded up the boat and left here today and were on the water by 3pm. Next time will plan sooner, but all is well, had a great time being back on the water.
Leo and Foxy seemed to like it most of the time. Molly stayed home. Gone about 5 hours.
You don't realize how much you need to take a break till you do.
    Jake will put up pictures.

A great day is, "relaxing on the river". :)

IMG_20240430_165826345_HDR (1).jpg Pretty little house on the river.

DSCN2131.JPG These two love their river ride.

DSCN2166.JPG Started to rain hard after we got a ways down the river.

Took more photos than this, and will put up some more later, if anyone wants to see more. Everything went fine today, the truck pulled the boat there with no problems at all, and the boat ran like a top, you just can't beat an evenrude engine.
