Yes; it's my husband's birthday (and his twin brother's.) I will bake him a cake and we'll have steaks for dinner.

When I was drinking, I would go to my favorite bar and drink 10¢ green draught beers.

I would get right snockered for only $2.00

Nothing. But, when we lived in Jacksonville, Florida, we went to an Irish Pub in Jacksonville Beach. Had a delicious meal of corned beef/cabbage, green beer and Irish entertainment. The place was packed with young folks, but we still had a lot of fun.

Not a thing. Corned beef and cabbage sucks!

Awe, come on Pete, we all know you love it! LOL
Actually, it's not my favorite food/meal, but if cooked right, I'll eat it for a "once a year" thing.

I love corn beef and cabbage. only a few places put turnip in it which is too bad. I used to get this metal quite a lot when I worked in downtown Boston.
going to get it tonight on takeout and it has turnip

Beyond weathering out a couple of super cells headed our way, nada.

Well, does it count that I posted a meme (political memes) of St. Patrick kicking the serpents out?

Turnip? I have never had it that way. Is that a traditional ingredient or some Americanized twist?

I don't know but whenever I bought it in Boston at an Irish pub they had turnip.

I just searched on "corned beef and cabbage turnips" and found a bunch of recipes, but no discussion as to whether or not this is a variation or if it is traditional.

All I know is that after having it as part of the meal, I'm extremely disappointed when it's not part of the meal.
