Are you eating out or making all this for yourself, Cat?

    Sounds delicious! :)

I'm finished with my leftovers, other than the pumpkin pie I finally made on Friday. I'm defrosting some hamburger meat, and am debating what to make. I was going to have spaghetti with meat sauce, but I'm thinking I might make chili. I need to check my pantry and see what I have in the way of beans, but if I don't do that, I might make some manicotti. The weather is chilly here, so I'm in the mood to cook something heavier than what I usually would want after a large holiday dinner and leftovers.

Chili is my favorite comfort food for Fresno in the winter!

We are having steak tonight as per my grandsons bday dinner request. Don't know what sides but I do know I'll have a salad and maybe half a steak.

I can't think of anything I want to make. Had a hamburger and roasted asparagus for brunch, but have no idea what to make for supper. I want homemade soup but I'm at work.

I love homemade soups, Ruby! When I did cook, I could make soup out of anything and everthing.

My preference though is any soup that I can thicken with an emulsion blender....butternut squash, pumpkin, carrot, etc...those type of soups.

:oops:We're going to eat at home tonight. Mom is making our rice for she always makes it perfect. I tend to put too much water in it and it comes out a bit too soft. I'll perfect it. With rice that has lentils, black & brown rice with white rice and some instant Quaker barley we are having fried Little Smokies from Hillshire Farms. We like the Lil' Polasks and Lil Smokies from Hillshire Farms a lot! With some veggies probably canned beets. Yesterday we ate edamame with mayo mixed in and waffles. We were a bit lazy and tired to cook. Battling a slight cough type of cold.

My wife made Italian meat balls yesterday. Green beans and that was enough.

Last night we went out for early ''christmas dinner'' with the family as my daughter could only fly in from the continent for 24 hours. Traditional Christmas dinner was on the menu at the restaurant but none of us chose it, because we knew we'd all get our own Christmas lunches on the day...so I chose the Game pie ( pheasant, partridge and Duck)..with Kurly Kale, roasted parsnips and carrots, and buttered mash...everyone of the family chose something different .

I also had Belgian chocolate brownie with mint cream...

Tonight for dinner..because my dinner was so rich last night...I just ate some chicken tenders in a light tempura batter..nothing else.. although I did sneak a few tiny pieces of Dark chocolate Cornflake and fudge nibbles a little later .. :D
