If you want an easy way to look back at older discussions, or any other website that you might visit, there is a browser add-on available for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, that will save any page that you visit to the Wayback Machine, part of the Internet Archive, as long as it's a publicly accessible page; in other words, it won't save any private information that you access online.
For example, it has been saving pages from our old forum since early February 2015, less than a month after it started.
The Wayback Machine also indexes websites, and you might see it listed as a Robot, along with the page that it's currently accessing. These are the pages that are indexing on their own. If you have the browser add-on, you can set it to archive any pages you visit that haven't been archived in the past year, 90 days, 30 days, 7 days, or the past 24 hours. I have mine set to archive anything that hasn't been archived in the past 24 hours.
Archived pages can be visited at the Internet Archive here, by date or hour. Not every page of the old forum has been archived, and most of the ones that are there are ones that I visited because I have had the browser add-on for quite some time now.
