Walmart Recognized Reviewer, a new thing!

I have actually not reviewed very many items from Walmart, although I do get asked to review them sometimes, and have done that. Today, i got an email inviting me to become a Walmart Reviewer, and it looks like it is comparable to the Amazon Vine review program. There’s was a list of things i can try, and up to three at a time, and then write reviews for the item.
I am starting out with a set of solar lanterns (about a $20 item) to see how it goes, and then, I will probably try more items once I am more familiar for doing this. I have wanted to be an Amazon Vine Reviewer for a long time, and write reviews almost all the time, but never got invited; so this is something I am happy about .

Sounds good, Yvonne. I hope you enjoy it. If the IRS rules are the same as the Vine program, the cost of the item(s) will be reported as income if you exceed $600 total value/year. Just something to keep in mind if they offer any high dollar items.

Yes, it did say that , or something to that effect. I think that I will enjoy doing this, and I love trying out new products. The solar lanterns should arrive this weekend, so once they get here and I write the review, I will have a better idea of how everything works. It looks like this is an invitation opportunity, too. I have not written that many reviews, and some because the item was not as advertised, so I was surprised to be invited.
Do they give you items that are more valuable after you have reviewed for a while, or mostly just cheaper items to review on the Vine program ?

Honestly I haven't paid much attention to Vine in the past few years. They made changes that put reviewers in different "levels" if I recall correctly. The more stuff you order and review, the higher your "level." High level reviewers get offered big ticket merchandise.

I got some canned messages about people using AI to write their reviews so like with everything, people try to scam the system.

I am liking this so far ! Nothing on the list is really expensive, and some things are just not anything I would use, but the list has a lot of stuff on it, and I can order up to three things at a time.
I ordered the solar lights set, and Bobby put them up out front, and they twinkle in pretty colors. Then I ordered a nice 20” long planter that has a self-watering bottom and it just came today. I am going to plant some of the oregano that is growing in the aerogardens in the lantern and we can set it out on the porch as long as the weather stays nice.

Today, I ordered a set of canisters for the kitchen, which is something I have been looking at anyway, and as soon as I review an item, I can order more. I noticed that they have things like coffee and dog food on the list, too, so I should not run out of things to try for quite a while.
I am taking pictures and writing reviews as soon as I get each item.

I am really enjoying doing the reviews and we have been getting some things we really like.
I have discovered that if you keep watching, there are more expensive items, but they do not last. I just ordered a new blender to test free, and 10 minutes later, it was not on the list anymore.
I think they only give out a few of the higher priced items.
I just got Bobby a new keyboard for his iPad because his last one quit, and we have gotten some household things as well.

The blender is a high-powered one and should be good for making smoothies and frozen drinks this summer and mixing up recipes to make Ninja Creami ice cream , too. This is what it looks like.
