Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Ted Williams wouldn't be caught dead wearing a uniform where the pants reach the ground!

This uniform makes them look like street sweepers following a circus parade.

Knee-high Knickers define the true American Baseball Player!

This is a good idea that I wish we had near me. Vintage baseball is a baseball league in which teams compete wearing period reproduction uniforms, period-authentic equipment, and follow the rules of baseball as they were in the 19th century, most of them using the rules of the late 1850s, 1860s, and 1880s.

At this point, games are played mostly in open-air museums, living history villages, and city parks, in about twenty states and Canada.

Looking at the list of clubs, it seems that it's most popular in the Midwest, although there is one in Maine, at least for those who consider Southern Maine to be Maine.

Except for taxes and liberals I like living in southern Maine.
