I agree until they confessed that they did it who knows? Maybe the four men just took it for there purpose, or maybe they are responsible and took it down for fear of lawsuits by the Parks Dept.
Or maybeeeee, (*fade in the theme music from the Outer Limits*) the 4 men are aliens and are part of the group that were seen flying around and are under investigation by the Pentagon? And maybeeee, the monolith is a dimensional time warp machine that the aliens lost via a black hole and the parks department found and the 4 aliens had to come up with an excuse to earthlings just to placate those in charge in the mother ship. Gadzooks! A mystery is afoot!!
Aliens that buy their Hardware at Ace Hardware. They can use man-made materials to make amazing flying machines & monolith. In one of the video's you can see the sheet metal screws that put this together. Maybe they're humans under mind?
