I access this forum on Android. It is loading so slowly, lately, that I'm getting to the point of considering moving on. I do not want to do that, I must say. No other sites are giving me this problem. So, how many of you use your Android phone to get on here? Have you noticed a profound slowing down of load times, lately? Please let me know. Thanks!
@Trevalius Guyus I use Android.....rarley a problem. I do find the internet itself is more of a problem. If your using Chrome browser.try a different one. I have been using DuckDuckgo browser. Check out the issues before giving up on us
I don't use Android, but Duck Duck Go is a search engine, not a browser. It is probably a good idea to try a different browser, though.
I use Chrome on my Android and Firefox on my notebook and have never had problems loading SOC. Internet access hasn't changed either.
@Trevalius Guyus For me the site is very quick but had to change browser recently, so could be the problem for you
As Beth has already said, it has nothing to do with search engines like DDG or Goggle but, if at all, with browsers like Firefox, Chrome and maybe others.
Sometimes I find that it loads extremely slow and even when I’m on site, going from one screen to another or one action to another can be slow but I’ve found that those times are temporary.
DDG on mine is a browser or so claimed in downloading. No history tracking. anyways whatever works for you.
I have Safari with my iPad, and it works fine here, and pretty much everywhere else. However, we are having slow connection problems, and sometimes lose our WiFi connection altogether, and then it reconnects. I have talked with several other family members who have the same issue, and we all use different ISP providers. We have AT&T, my daughter has Comcast, and I don’t remember what the others have; but we all have slow internet connections from time to time. Except for when the WiFi is being slow, the forum always loads really fast for me.
It is a search engine, but has recently introduced a browser extension and app for android. https://www.vpnmentor.com/blog/5-reasons-use-duckduckgos-web-browser-extension/ As I said, I don't use android so I'll exit this conversation. Hope you find a solution.
Lol! Uh, OK......... I'm writing this while using the DDG, stand-alone browser, on Android. I DL'd it, and it works fine. Extension/Browser ........It does what I need it to do.
