Thinking of lost members

Frank Sanoica and the other guy who was an amateur astronomer and retired Boeing engineer who lived in Arizona. Name escapes me. Hal something I think.
I remember them. Seems there was another Don too, but he could be from another site.
I know we had a couple hot debate's on politics of course.
I started to wise off but changed my mind, I'm so glad I didn't because he passed suddenly and I felt bad and was so thankful I kept quite.

Sorry I cant recall who you are from the original Forum. Name now not ringing a bell. But glad your here
I was quiet on the forum. I kept up with everything. Just didn't post a lot.
I deleted my account when I got to busy( with my job and wildlife care) to come regularly online and took a break. But I did come back to read everything when I could, just wasn't a member anymore.

Hal Pollner? He also played guitar. If I recall, he was preparing to sell his house and move to a retirement home or assisted living. I don't recall if it was because his wife died. I recall he had a daughter who also played classical music (for a living?)

Yep, that is who I was thinking of. I think he was also developing dementia and that was the reason he left the forum.

I think members who have passed on deserve to have the custom title "Eternal Member" as a sign of recognition and respect...
On the original forum, Ken changed the avatar of those who have passed on to an In Memoriam wreath. But that generated a little controversy among a small number of folks. It seems that some people replied to the creator of a thread, only to subsequently realize the guy (or gal) they addressed was dead. They [understandably] felt a little creeped out.

It was apparent when you were on Page 1 of the thread because the initial comment by the thread's deceased creator had the In Memoriam wreath right at the top of the page, but not so apparent when you jumped in on Pages 2+ and the deceased originator may not have even commented there (so there was no wreath anywhere.)

We discussed it at length, agreed to disagree, and continued with the custom.

Lots of good people on line and some have very helpful info too. My first time on a forum was Court TV forum. that led me to other forums.
One man was name Venom Jokey, after his helicopter. He was a heli pilot in Viet Nam. He was a wise man and he and his friend had property that you only reach with small plane of helicopter. He passed and I felt bad for the loss.
Another time was a man who just didn't like me, 'imagine that' and he was picking on me but I just decided not to argue. I'm so glad I didn't take the bait, since he passed suddenly next day. We never know what someone is dealing with too.
I'm opinionated to a fault, so I have to be careful.

I remember Frank didn’t he have extensive model trains set up in a garage or his home …he was a very smart man

I also remember Hal @Don Alaska
Hal Pollner had a large model train setup in one room of his house. Frank Sanoica built a model train that was kept in a garage and was large enough that he rode around the yard on it. Both were great people !
