"SPARKS, Nev. — What Tesla TSLA, +1.02% has built in the Nevada desert is impressive. Five years ago, the Gigafactory was merely an expanse of rocks and dirt, CEO Elon Musk bragged to shareholders on June 11.

Today it is a sprawling three-story red and grey structure the size of a dozen football fields that, when completed, aims to be the world’s biggest building. It is crammed top to bottom with automated machines, snaking assembly lines, engineering rooms, and 13,000 busy people working for Tesla and its Japanese partner."

I hope something spectacular comes out of whatever they are doing.
Some serious research and development, new and better products,
something that will justify such an expenditure and useful to mankind.

It is now quite possible that Elon Musk wil be moving his whole Tesla vehicle plant to Nevada, @Frank Sanoica . I was just reading in the news that he is really, really ticked with the health department in California that is blocking him from re-opening his plant there.
Governor Newsom has opened California businesses again, for at least limited activity and production; but the lady who is in charge of the health department in Alameda County has refused to authorize Musk to re-open his factory; so now Musk is saying that he will immediately move the plant to either Nevada or Texas and start production there.

My guess is that the governor is going to get after that health official and allow the Tesla factory to re-open, because I am sure that California does not want to lose the business, plus Elon Musk has said that he is probably going to sue Alameda county. It is not just the factory, but the whole headquarters for Tesla cars that California would be losing if the company moves elsewhere.

The factory is indeed impressive but bless my introverted soul because the first thing I noticed was the one lonely highway in which thousands of people will be hitting at quitting time.

Perhaps Elon will build one of his vacuum based transit systems to ease the traffic and as a side gift, prove the economic end of it as well.

I wonder if they have a bus to bring you in to work from some of those parking lots. Looks like a long walk for some.

The problem is that he will bring his liberal politics, as well as that of all of his employees, with him.

People leave a failed state, then bring with them the politics that led to it being a failed state, thus turning their new state into a cesspool. That's only not a problem if you're fond of cesspools. But then, why did you move to begin with?

I have been wondering if Elon Musk (like many other people seem to be doing) might be changing his political stance, and become a supporter of President Trump.
I think that for so many years, all that people have heard is what the controlled media tells them, but now, people are actually starting to look for the truth, and are seeing that we DO have an excellent president, but that this has been distorted (and is still being distorted) by the news media, in order for them to keep their jobs.

Some of the things that he is posting on Twitter seems like he is working with President Trump on the Space Force goals.
I think that Elon Musk could be a great supporter of Trump if he chooses to help, and believes that our president is doing what is the best thing for this country, and our whole earth, as well.

It definitely appears that he is in favor of ending the quarantine and opening up the companies that can be safely opened up again.

I have seen nothing negative about Elon Musk so far. If he wants to put everyone back to work it is good
