    Hi,
Sewing is also my main hobby...I learned to use a sewing machine when I was about 9 y/o....an old machine, with pedal. A 12 y/o my mother sent me to learn how to make patterns and many things related to this trade. I made most of my clothes.
Today I shorten and fix all the clothes I buy.
I also love to crochet and knit (less) and until the pandemic took over the world I was a member of a knitting group.

My Husqvarna sewing machine ,it still in very good condition for 22 years old ( bought in Feb 2000 )
Thought I’d better not put it in “Susan thread” or we’d be getting a rap over the knuckles for going off topic :):D:):D @John Brunner The embroidery hoop attachment comes off
if you don’t want it annoying you for general sewing .

I would dare post of photo of what it looks like at this moment …..I’ve been sewing MORE masks with 4 layers of fabric

Sewing is the one thing I always wanted to learn, if for no other reason than to make window treatments...they are so needlessly expensive (I have done a lot of needlepoint.) It's amazing what the electronic models can do.

This is like the old Singer my mother used:

Variable-speed with a foot pedal control. Fold over the left-hand leaf and the machine disappears into the cabinet.

Was the show "Sewing With Nancy" syndicated over there? I used to watch every once in a while. She contracted Bells Palsy and went right back on the air. Great lady. Wonderful seamstress. Has since passed.

Prior to moving to where I live now , I live in a country area now but “escaped from city “ (suburbs ) living in 2004
In our city home I had a heap of antiques / vintage items one was a 1914 treadle singer with the 6 drawers ( 3 either side ) I sold it after moving into this home in 2006 as it just didn’t suit the layout of this home I got $500 for it
I don’t have any photos of it on the iPad ( have printed photos ) but the man I bought it from said it was his mothers machine ,it had a receipt in one of the drawers dating back to 1920 @John Brunner

I made there’s on my sewing machine yesterday to send to a member on-the crafty forum
It’s a Bookmark swap so I’ve been paired with a lady from Queensland and this is what I made to send her.
The red BM are made from a stiff plastic / canvas feeling fabric….so they are all made completely from scratch

I sew a little. I have made simple kitchen curtains, aprons, close pin bags, and tote bags. I also have made my husband many work shirts----thank you, YouTube! :D I wish I was skilled at sewing to make a variety of things.

I did, but I gave away my machine and was going to buy a new one, but never did. I wish I had it now for doing a few repairs.

I used to sew quite a bit but not so much anymore. I'm more of a "mender and hemmer" these days.

My mother used to sew a lot, and had a cabinet full of those cheap paper McCall's and Simplicity patterns.
