River Photos, with "my boat and dogs"

I hope Maisie and Getty will learn to act like Foxy and Leo do on the boat. We will find out soon enough.

I don't think so, first and last time we took Getty and Maisie to the river they dragged us to the water and dove in.
You'd have to throw Foxy and Leo 'above' in the river. They seen the gators, snakes and turtles in that river,😁

Tomorrow it will be 79 degrees; so we are going to try and go down the lazy "river". I told Marie, it should be "easy as pie", with four dogs, and a "cripple". She is still not over pulling her thigh muscles. And I am not sure how Getty and Maisie are going to act, yet being their first boat ride; I think my biggest task will be keeping them from wanting to jump in river; I did put eye hooks in side the ribs of boat, with short leashes to hook them up so they're contained, the last time we took those two they were dragging me, and jumping in "swimming" away; both of them love water.

Here" are some photos of the last time we went.

That lady was standing on top of her van at Ginnie springs campground, she didn't know we snapped a photo.

More "campers", and it started raining hard all of a sudden that day. There were lots of people swimming in the river, so I just went slowly around them.

If Getty and Maisie knew about all the gators and snakes in this river they wouldn't want to jump into the water.
You couldn't throw Leo and Foxy in.
I was helping to dock the boat about 40 years ago in Jax, Fl and fell in on a gator, my foot slipped on its back, I bet I never moved that fast before.
We had a dive dog then, Missy, she would dive down to fetch a rock we thew in, came up with it everytime.

I can walk, just not very good, my right leg muscle goes out so I'm Very careful. I'll take my walking stick Jake made me for trails several years ago.
When I first saw Jake I was tending bar, he said, ' your beautiful' I said, 'I already have 3 kids I don't need another one', and let me see your id. That was 47 yr.s ago. Him being 6 years younger has came in handy.
For 3 years he was 27, I finally ask for his license to see how old he was, he was finally 27.

We are both rethinking the river trip. I am doing a little better today, then I wonder if this trip could set me back or maybe in a boat full of dogs, I may be the one in the river fighting the gators. Since Jake will be busy at the helm.
That is a good consideration, @Marie Mallory . I was concerned about you having all four dogs out at once when they sometimes get in fights, and since you are still healing from hurting yourself, you would not be a lot of help if they did get into it at some point of the trip.
Plus, there is all of the extra traffic for the Christmas holidays, so even without the dogs to worry about, it is not the best time to be trailering the boat out to the river.
Wishing you and Jake a wonderful day today, and a happy Christmas tomorrow, whatever you decide to do.

I agree and thank you for the good advice and holiday wishes.
And of course you and Bobby have a wonderful and merry holiday too.

Do your adopted dogs realise what a wonderful home they found with you Marie and Jake …

, We look after a couple of diffrent little dogs in Adelaide, it breaks our hearts to realise some are just what we call “ trophy “ dogs longing for a pat and a bit of attention

Happy anniversary …to you both , we are coming up 40 years together …next Sept ….but 39 years married
