    Pete Seeger recorded a song about how huge quiz shows duped the Public into thinking it was all on the level, until Congress started to investigate the show which had propped up Charles Van Doren as a true National hero.

    Upload the song from YouTube...I can't because I have no "Paste" to click on.

    @Hal Pollner

    Teddy Nadler was a NY cab driver who appeared on Hal March's program. He recited from memory verbatim paragraphs from Encyclopedia Britannica when prompted only by volume and page number. So absolutely impossible, we saw through the hoax watching in our living room. It was rather entertaining though. We wondered how much dough the producers actually handed out, given the illegality. Van Doren was thrust before Congress eventually to testify.

    The thought of Congress investigating the corruption of anyone else is concurrently amusing and disgusting.
