I reached out to an old friend who sent me Christmas cards almost every year, for over 40 years, he never spelt my last name correctly, all those years so i felt the need to give him the correct spelling, in an email. He replied, said he'll give me a call.

He is not back. This was on Saturday, before he left on Tuesday. But maybe he will still change his mind. Since no one has any clue why he left, it is hard to guess if he will come back or not.
