I'm going to post a picture. Take a good look at. I'm going to ask a question about it tomorrow. Let's see how many can answer the question correctly.

Wheres the pictureThere are 6 stuffed toys in the picture. Can you name them? For extra points, can you name them in order from left to right?
oh okayI posted it yesterday. I removed it just now to see if anybody could guess it from memory. They were supposed to look at it and remember what was in it.

@John Walker got them right except that the last one is a tiger which is a kind of cat.
I use that story often.Once upon a time, Little Red Hen lived on
a farm with a dog, a pig and a cow.
Little Red Hen worked hard every day to
grow plants in her garden.
The dog, the pig, and the cow did nothing
but sleep all day in the warm sun and watch
Little Red Hen work in her garden.
One day, Little Red Hen found a 20 grains of wheat by the roadside.
She was busy finding food for herself and her six baby chicks, so she asked the dog, the cow, and the pig to help her plant the seeds.
“Who will help me plant this wheat so that we can eat fresh bread?” she said.
"Not I,” said the dog.
"Not I," said the cow.
"Not I said the pig.
"I will plant it myself", she said. And she did.
The wheat grew tall and ripe.
"Who will help me thresh the wheat?" she said?
"Not I", said the dog.
"Not I", said the cow.
"Not I," said the pig.
"I will do it myself," she said. And she did.
"Who will help me take it to the mill?" she said.
"Not I", said the dog.
"Not I", said the cow.
"Not I," said the pig.
"I will do it myself," she said. And she did.
So she took it to the mill and had it ground.
"Who will help me make it into bread?" she said.
"Not I", said the dog.
"Not I", said the cow.
"Not I," said the pig.
"Who will help me eat the bread?" she asked.
"I will", said the dog.
"I will", said the cow.
"I will," said the pig.
"Y'all didn't help me plant the seeds,
Y'all didn't help me thresh the wheat,
Y'all didn't help me take the wheat to the mill,
Y'all didn't help me make the bread."
"I did it all by myself and I and my six little chicks will eat it by ourselves."
And they did.
Questions tomorrow.
Sort of has an Aesop flavor to it.I use that story often.
Being the poor reader that I am, I read through the story you posted and part way through suffered a skull cramp. The old memory bank doesn't retain much these days compared to when I was younger. Here are the questions to see how observant you are.
Where did Little Red Hen find the seeds? How many seeds did she find. How many chicks did she have?
