How many email requests for donations do you get a day?

I occasionally get emails from St. Jude Hospital since I have been a frequent donor. We also get a lot of regular mail solicitations, mostly from the ASPCA, MD Anderson, and some of the veteran's organizations. These are all charities that we contribute to.
 
Not just uncounted emails but I also got another snailmail begging today. Also there was a slick full-color card pleading that I vote YES on an upcoming special election ballot proposal to raise my property taxes with another new item.

I was never any kind of tax hawk, but this past year and now from here on in since Social Security is starting my taxes are the highest ever in my life. I juggle what I can but now I'm in a trap with no real wiggle room. As a result I now have ZERO patience for begging on top of tax payments.
 
While I am politically inclined, I have not contributed financially to a political campaign since Ron Paul's last primary run in 2012. My name, email address, telephone number, and mailing address were distributed to everyone with an "R" after their name, and I am still getting pleas from Republican candidates whom I probably wouldn't even vote for, let alone contribute to. At some point, I must have contributed to, signed a petition, or wished someone well who was involved in the anti-abortion movement because I get a bunch of contribution pleas from pro-life organizations I've never heard of.
 
If I could start my life all over, I would only make charitable contributions by sending anonymous Money Orders to outfits I'd like to support. And I would have created a throw-away email account or two. when the web first came about As it is, the monetizing of donor lists is a major deterrent to contributing to any outfit in the first place. You would think they have to know this.

Regarding political contributions...I guess I was stupid enough to put my real phone# on an online contribution rather than the dead landline I have, and there are days I get at least 10 texts of varying types (solicitations designed as polls, lying texts saying "You left this question blank," or outright requests for money.) I never respond. One day I got a text from a member of a political party trying to provoke a response by basically saying "You're a scummy piece of poop for avoiding my texts" followed up with another text saying "You're a shining star in the party." Apparently these people don't coordinate with each other. And the volume has really cranked up the past year or so.
 
Probably quite a few, but I am merciless with email; if I don't recognize the sender and the title of the email doesn't resonate with me, I delete it. I know that a lot of it comes from various Republican or "conservative" political causes, even from Republicans I wouldn't vote for unless their opponent had a Nazi tattoo and hated blacks, women, and rural people. I get a bunch of requests in regular mail, too, and that is shredded and ends up in my compost pile.

I don't make political contributions anymore because they not only take your money, but they also hound you endlessly and sell your contact information to others who do the same. The last political donation I made was to Ron Paul in 2012, and now every Republican running for office, or who has a cause, thinks I'm an easy touch.

I have made donations in the past to the order of nuns who run the assisted living facility where my beloved sister-in-law lives.

I'll tell you, once those old gals get a whiff of money from you, they  never give up and they have God backing them up, so you'd better not say no.

Some of them are in their 90's and are residents there, too. They're all delightful and real characters. I enjoy meeting them when I visit and don't begrudge a cent of my donations.
