First, you do know that too many "active" apps and too many photos can take up a lot of space on an iphone and, possibly, slow down the performance of it? This happened to my wife recently. Had to "de-activate" some of her apps and get rid of a few photos. She had way to many games that were set on "active" and taking up data space. There are those that keep literally hundreds of photos on their iphone, of which we don't. We have some, but only "some". For most of our iphone pictures and/or video, I will download to our desktop, redo the photo (if necessary) and then upload from desktop to USB (flash drive). And, I will periodically check to see if there are any updates to apps. I will also clean up the e-mail on iphone and only keep certain e-mails.
I have over a thousand pictures on my phone and iPads, but I use the iCloud storage, and I use it for everything that can be stored in the cloud, so I still have lots of room left on all of my devices. I do have the little setting turned on that uploads apps that I haven’t used for a while, and then if i do use them, it just puts them back again.
AH-Ha!! First they find someone to ask a friendly sort of question like, “How many pictures are on your phone” or “how full is your phone” and the next thing somebody knocks on our door with gun drawn and says, “I’m from the FPP (federal phone police) and I have a warrant for your cell phone”.!! These guys are everywhere! I saw a teen girl being carted out of her home on a stretcher and put into an ambulance and she was still clutching her cell phone! I KNEW they weren’t helping the girl! It was her cell phone that they were trying to get but she wouldn’t release it so they took her AND her cell phone! How full is my cell phone.....Ha! I’ll hide it where no one will find it! IT’s MINE, IT’s MINE!!! BWAHa-ha-ha-ha-ha....
Let's see --- My SE is 18.4 of 128 full and my iPhone 6 is 17.8 of 32 full. I don't have games on either phone, but I do have a few apps that are space hogs. Audible is the worst, followed by Facebook, Podcasts, and an Acupuncture Points app. I have that second phone because I wanted a different number for texting clients than my personal phone. But then I retired and don't really need it. Was sure glad to have it with me though on the last trip I took when the hotel lamp usb port burned up my iPhone 7 overnight. I try not to keep many photos on my phone, and when I do take pics of important receipts or checks, like mailing off tax payments, etc, I download those fairly quickly.
@Mary Robi Ha! Many's the time I've wished someone ELSE had not found their phone, like when they step off a curb gazing at their screen in front of my car! Frank
