The old "Free Stuff" meme again. Years ago, while I was studying in Austria (yes, one of those socialistic countries), one of my friends who was brushing up on his English asked me about the word string he encountered in a US newspaper: "the working poor.' "If a person is working, how can he be poor?" You know of course that most of the people on Medicaid and food stamps do have jobs.

The poverty level in the U.S. is around 17K per year for married couples. (The VA max earning standards for free health care is 1000 per month per vet. )
A married couple at 17K per year is only about $8.85 per hour. Yes, a person can work and still be poor.

All that said, what does medicare and food stamps have to do with the value of human life or that which a human might value? Certainly, being poor does have some self esteem issues with a lot of people but self esteem has always been an issue with humans.

Now, if you’re alluding to people using that which is available to them (the system) to make life easier, I do not think that either has anything to do with a person’s value.

"A person's value?" We have the highest infant morality rate among developed countries. Same seems to apply to post partum mothers. All of this is the result of the government that we choose to elect. How do we value "persons"?

Martin, I went to your video of the World Freedom Alliance and it has been pulled by youtube for offending its sensibilities. I even went to the WFA site and could not get it there.

    From world doctor's alliance website:

(known information for decades, constantly being repeated, revealed again, and censored by moneymongers.

    (re) : "Lockdown
    • Covid has proved less deadly than previous influenza seasons – There were 50,100 flu deaths from December 2017 to March 2018 in England and Wales. There were 80,000 flu deaths in 1969. To date we have circa 42,000 covid related deaths in the UK.

    • We have never locked down society for a respiratory virus before.

    • The basis for lockdown was a mathematical model by Professor Neil Ferguson. His modelling which predicted half a million deaths in the UK has been roundly condemned as being not fit for purpose. His estimated death figures were clearly wrong by a factor of 10 or 12 times. (1)"
"It is clear that at no point was the National Health Service (NHS) in any danger of being overwhelmed, and since May 2020 covid wards have been largely empty; and crucially the death toll from covid has remained extremely low.

We now have hundreds of thousands of so-called ‘cases’, ‘infections’ and ‘positive tests’ but hardly any sick people. Recall that four fifths (80%) of ‘infections’ are asymptomatic (1) Covid wards have been by and large empty throughout June, July, August and September 2020. Most importantly covid deaths are at an all-time low. It is clear that these ‘cases’ are in fact not ‘cases’ but rather they are normal healthy people."

The facts concerning the infant mortality (I assume you meant to write mortality and not Morality) rate in developed countries are vague to say the least. Are we talking about the deaths of a full term live birth? Are we talking about deaths occurring during pre-term births like miscarriages and pre-term abortions? Are we talking about deaths to infants due to mistreatment or sickness?

And what about post partum mothers? Are they taking their own lives or medically abandoned or what? Specifics lend greatly to a good conversation.

All that said, I’m not in favor of tagging the government for anything that we as a people cherish or do not. I’m also not in favor of blaming government for how jaded we as supposedly civilized human beings have become toward human on human death.
If our morals have diminished then they need to be worked on but a government isn’t responsible for that. Who is?
If our ethics as individuals have diminished then who do we go to in order to tighten them up?
If our motivation for doing good is close to non-existent, then which YouTube video or motivator do we go to so we can shake it up?
If our own faith in whatever belief system one employs in his or her life is weak, where do we go to remedy that?

Maybe the answer to the last four questions might be to look at our own selves and quit blaming everyone else [and the government]for our own weaknesses.
We need no one’s permission to shrug our shoulders at the things we can change but do not. We do not need someone’s nod to do the right thing at all times and help where we are needed. We do not need a certificate to teach the young manners, respect and honor.
And most of all, we do not need a preacher, teacher, mother, father, sister, brother nor a government’s permission to love just a little more than we did yesterday.
All of that is on us.

Both when vague and when specific, death rates go down or remain the same, historiclly, when doctors go on strike. The death rate goes back up dramatically as soon as the strike ends.

Sorry but I must have missed something. What do doctors have to do with our own value or how we personally value other lives?
If every doctor in the world decided to quit, how would that affect one person’s feelings about the worth of another?

Example: I would venture to write that during this pandemic, the overall panic is personal. People ran to the store to buy up all the toilet paper, water, masks etc in order to take care Themselves. If there were any or even a very few who said to themselves, “I had better leave some product for the next guy”, I didn’t sense it. People scream about masking not because they’re afraid that someone (other than loved ones) else might catch the bug but because they’re afraid they might catch it.
Human compassion would influence people to share when a disaster strikes but this time, the panic or what have you caused the majority to think only of themselves.

The corporate/world/whole system, including medical, has been as it was in communist Germany's published plans a century ago.
    Lie.
    Then Lie.
    Then Lie More.
They figured it would take three generations to get total or the most control over how people think - away from anything that was "right" and "good", to the communist (or other) agenda/plan/ impersonal/ de-humanizing.

The medcial monopoply of German's drug makers and the USA drug makers during and after wwII made it the biggest most monstrous corporation(s) conglomerate in the world ever.... intent on profit and control with no heart, no conscience, and no soul. The only principles seem totally to be deception for dollars and power, oppress the opposition except to appear tolerant, and what happens to people (souls, hearts, love, joy, health) does not matter at all except to pretend it does to "gain" people's trust in the great wickedness.
Those who did not succumb to the made up disaster, or the real problems for that matter,
but kept their trust in the One Creator Who IS Trustworthy, Reliable, Honest, True,
did not panic. Their peace and joy and righteousness (by faith and seen in their lives) did not fall apart, but rather was and is strengthened, if they do not listen to the lies, if they do not trust the world systems, but place all of their trust in The Creator and The Savior Messiah Redeemer Jesus.

In this thread, I have been thinking of a person's self worth. Not the value of the amount of minerals in ones body or how much one makes. In being given things when one can earn for themselves it seems it takes away from being human. Experience? I have lived in a basement apartment where mud ran into the bathroom floor when it rained. I have been a cleaning lady and actually liked the job. I am now set up pretty well for retirement with my farm producing my own food and fire wood.
