We made a pool in ground 24 feet by 25 feet depth 3 foot to 6 foot. I worked at it almost daily keeping it clean and checking all the chemistry. No one used it they all went to the river to swim like they have for years. So after six months the voltage regulator burned out. I shut it down and sold the filter then filled it with fish after six months we drained it and gave away the fish thousands. Now we have put a new floor at three feet and built up the sides with a roof. Now it is a dojo for judo. We will see where it goes from there.
No, Shirley...I'll wait until Autumn, when the outdoor temperature won't be so hot, then I'll enjoy floating around with a Rum & Coke in hand! Then I'll drain and disassemble it. All this month we've experienced temps of 100 to 112, with low humidity.
That stinks. You've spent more time futzing than soaking...not that there's anything wrong with futzing.
"Futzing" is sort of like "putzing" or "messing around." You had as much time invested in buying and setting it up than you were able to get out of using it. Spoiler: Just for Shirley You have a dirty mind, Shirley. I really respect that
Well, boys and girls...it is now Friday, the 4th day of Autumn, and I'm beginning to drain my pool, which will probably take all weekend, as the drain line is a 100' garden hose. I'll carefully pack away all 30 pieces of tubular steel framework and carefully folded vinyl liner in their original carton, either to sell, give away, or save for next summer. So there goes my 4th above-ground pool "down the drain", after being used just twice! Hal (Shown is a previous 12' pool, with daughter, son-in-law, and grandkids, about 5 years ago.)
