Are You a Dunker or a Dipper?

I'm a dunker and a dipper.

In my coffee I like dunking:
Crumb Cake, White Bread Toast, Soft and Crispy Crullers, Italian Bread Toast, Buttered Kaiser Rolls, Seedless Rye Bread Toast, and some donuts.

In my milk I like dunking:
The champ of milk dunks Oreo Cookies.
Vienna fingers, and Oatmeal Cookies.

I like dipping my bread or biscuits in:
Sunnyside Egg Yolks, Pot Roast Gravy, Beef, Chicken, or Pork Gravy, and Pasta Sauce.
Sometimes the bread or biscuit is buttered depending on what I'm dipping in.

I do a bit of dunking and dipping. I've always liked to dunk buttered toast into hot chocolate, and occasionally a cookie into my coffee. I also like to "mop" my plate if I have garlic bread and some olive oil or pasta sauce to clean up. Keeps me from licking my plate. I have been known to dip a few hundred tortilla chips into guacamole or pico de gallo as well.

I like dunking Nilla Wafers into hot chocolate. You have to do it fast, though, because the wafers will fall apart fast. They don't hold up long after being dunked.

Yes to dipping when the food requires it and the correct dip is present, such as potato chips, etc.

No to dunking anything. When I was a kid I dunked Oreo cookies in milk, I stopped eating Oreos years ago.

No to dunking and dipping. Like Connie, I dunked Oreos as a kid, but I no longer eat Oreos. But like Beth, I too, am a "mop" my plate kind of gal, if the right kind of bread is present to do the mopping.

Does dipping in ketchup count ?
I don’t dunk anything in my coffee, ever, or in anything else that I am drinking. I do use bread (in some form or other) to clean up gravy left on my plate, and with eggs; so I am maybe a dipper, but not a dunker.

I like coffee and I don't hate donuts (as long as they aren't too sugary, which they usually are), but they should remain separate.

I just thought of another one we have a store here that makes soft pretzels along with that they make a heated cheese get the picture?
Dipping those soft pretzels into that heated cheese is amazing. I may have to stop at the store this week to get some.

I was never one to volunteer for the carnival dunk tank, but I been known for skinny dipping in a secluded pool off a river.

I was just thinking that my grandpa used to say "sop." He'd sop up gravy or sorghum syrup with his biscuit. He also loved sour cream on EVERYTHING. I miss my grandpa and I can still remember the smell of pipe tobacco when I hugged him.
