    Ya know what? We all see things differently. My MIL had a stroke and was in 'the home' for NINE years. I found her in her chair at home when she 'would' not answer the phone. I thought, If it were me, I would have preferred to have been left there. She was mentally out of it and was, for the entire time. When I get up in the morning, or after sitting too long, everything hurts. Imagine if you could not move around how much pain you would be in whenever anyone just turned you over.
    One of my daughters is here now and I hope she enjoys working with me. I am having her take over the farm if she wants it. I would like to live in the barnhouse still, but it is more comfortable in my hubby's house. So I have a choice. I just would not like to saddle her with my 'care' and we don't have the money to move to 'a home' the way things are going.

    @Hal Pollner

    Have you ever thought about setting up a room in your house just for your musical buddies to meet, and have a session?..

    I wouldn't feel bad if I were you Mary. Your daughter may not realize it now but there will come a day when she will cherish the time spent with you while you were not able to tske total care of yourself.Of course if she is able to care for you,many people are not able to care for their parents .people live longer now then we use to.If your able I think it is your responsibility to care for your parents. Long as your able.

    I know, Hal. I remember you mentioning that. I just thought there might be some advantages of it being at your house. Maybe some individuals might drop by more often. Sort of informal.

    Just a thought.
