There have been numerous jokes over the years as to what Snow White's sidekicks should have been named, but the following 10 were actually options. The original fairytale left the dwarves nameless; theater productions over the years have either followed that tradition or made up random names, such as Quee and Glick. But Disney wanted his dwarves' names to reflect their physical and character traits. Just think how different the movie might have been if Snow White's most lovable little buddy had been named Dirty. Hmm.;)

I agree, Patsy! This might be a better list of unused names.

    Re-imagining Snow White's Dwarfs
"It almost goes without saying that Disney made a lot of changes when he retold the Grimm's Little Snow White as 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". One of the biggest changes, however, was in how he characterized the dwarfs".

Of course the dwarf's names today would;nt be considered politically correct...dopey and grumpy!!!! Heaven forbid the hue and cry that would break out if one was named shorty. Nowadays they would all be named with positive attributes like noble, and handsome and generous and things like that. You can be they would come up with PC names for all. PC isn't always bad, but lets hope the dwarf's keep their original names.

If that story was told today:

It would be titled:" Snow Neutral-Hued and the Seven Height-Challenged Individuals".

The cartoon would be rated "R" because, well, there she is....living with seven men. Seven strange men.

Snow would be charged with breaking-and-entering because she did enter their house without permission.

Code Enforcement would be called because there were too many people living in that tiny house and the neighborhood wasn't zoned for tiny houses anyway. One look at the filthy inside and the inspector would have slapped a "UNFIT FOR OCCUPANCY" sticker on the front door.

OSHA would have closed down the mine for unsafe working condtions so the dwarves...er….... Height-Challenged Individuals would have lost their jobs and had their house repossessed already. They'd be living under an overpass with Grimm's ogres.

Snow's evil step-mother would be spending so much time with the cops trying to explain where Snow has disappeared to that she wouldn't have the opportunity to dress up like a hag and go around passing out poisoned apples. The Huntsman would be in the next kingdom, living under the Witness Protection Program.

The handsome Prince, being cautious about sexual-misconduct charges, would be leery of kissing a strange young lady who is obviously not capable of giving consent and might be under-age. He would take one look at the glass casket and head for the hills.

    Nope, wouldn't fly today.
