This business is leveraging cryptosporidia fears. I guess you could call it "crapitolism."

    What's for supper?

I had Bojangles fried chicken & a biscuit for lunch, so since I'm watching my girlish figure, dinner was a salad and popcorn...and a Dreamsicle.

Which of these chicken restaurant chains are your favorite?

I went grocery shopping in the big-ish city today and stopped by Bojangles to pick up lunch on the way home. Just like Popeye's, an 8 piece box with no sides is almost $24. Threw some slaw & potato chips on the side, and had a biscuit with butter & blueberry preserves for desert. It was...

Yellowstone Rodeo not PRCA or PBR endorsed Gramps the Bullfighter

It freaked me out that the bison was lounging around picnic tables. Or more to the point, why in the heck are there picnic tables out there????

Yellowstone Rodeo not PRCA or PBR endorsed Gramps the Bullfighter

The guy is walking down a legit walking trail around approved campgrounds within Yellowstone. The bison was in an area with picnic tables:

Which Sub Sandwich chains are your favorite

I've eaten at Which Wich and it's very good. People rave about Jersey Mike's but the slabs of meat look "pressed." I was not impressed the one time I tried it. I hit Subway once a month or less, and always get a tuna sub. There's a chain of gas stations called Sheetz that has Made-to-Order...

Yellowstone Rodeo not PRCA or PBR endorsed Gramps the Bullfighter

I saw this on another forum. Here's a longer video: I don't know why the guy and his wife were walking along the road. I read there's a trail there. It looks like that white truck made the bison angry, and when it drove off, it chased the old guy. Apparently it was also the rut. (edit to...

I've seen commercials for this ass-action lawsuit. Buncha bottom feeders.

Which of these chicken restaurant chains are your favorite?

I've not eaten at most of those, but usually prefer Popeye's to KFC. There are Zaxby's (they have zalads) and Bojangles not real far from me, but I never think to go there when I'm in the area.

    Fishing

Back in the 60s we had a neighbor whose father was caretaker for Eric Sevareid's country place in Marshall VA (about 50 miles west of DC.) Back then, 50 miles on the then-current roads was more like 100 miles today. There was a small pond on the place that never got fished. All you needed...

    What Are You Doing Today?

I used to do part time animal rescue work. I ended up with a puppy and a kitten...then I quit. They both lived to be in their twenties. I never replaced them. I loved them dearly but did not want the responsibility anymore.

    What Are You Doing Today?

I replaced an LED bulb in the dome light of my car. The light from it does not match the bulb next to it. Dunno if I'll order a different one or just live with it. Then made a trip to Lowes and Walmart. I had planned to do more, but my motivation level is at an all-time low.

He posted a comment to explain why he has been incommunicado: “Folks of my generation often hesitate to share the vulnerability that comes with growing older.” What an insult.

    Miscellaneous One Off News Stories

I was in a non-profit with a guy who had an aortic dissection before I knew him. Happened in his driveway when he was working on his car. I forget how he got help in time to save him, or if the dissection was only partial so it bought him time. This is out in the sticks, not around the corner...

    What Are You Doing Today?

Wimbledon men's championship game is on ABC at 3PM eastern. I'm not nearly into tennis as much as I used to be, but I still like watching. This is the 139th Wimbledon championship match. Alexander Zverev from Germany v Jannik Sinner from Italy. The women's championship game yesterday was...
