Appreciate your responses but I don't want to beat this into the ground any more.

I have always been amazed that we have been raised by other people's children, and then turn around and get to raise other people's parents. It is not an exact science. This works best, when we have a passable relationship with our parents, our children, and our heavenly Father...not necessarily in that order.

WOW, I agree even more with you now than before Boris. I thought there would be something good and the link, but it was lacking the most important way of all to honor parents. The other things looked more like "feel good" ideas that might be true, and might not be true.

The one , I think most important, way to honor our parents is to obey them. This is the same as how to honor and love God - obey Him. (Jesus practically equates the two - obey , love.. it is always a choice of the will to make, not an emotion).

Most people never honor, love, nor obey their own parents, nor God, so multitudes may go without a good example of how to live, especially as time goes on it seems getting more and more disobedience and this age draws to a close.

Well, one possible idea , and it was in the link, is to forgive them if you been holding a grudge or judgment against them.
And, as always, don't talk maliciously , nor falsely, about them.
It is not as if you can affect them at all, but what you say, think and do will affect your self every day.
