@Jeff Elohim...I only have one problem with your posts and it is this: You sound like you are spreading propaganda instead of having a discussion or sharing knowledge. You have a lot of truth in many things you say...but the way you present it is a definite turn off.
Devil's advocate... based on experience (not here) While it sounds good in theory, I've seen the REPORT button abused in cases where Admins had too much to do to pay close attention, and simply did whatever the "reporters" told them to do. Be careful what you wish for. Next time it could be you, or one of your friends. There is always the choice of ignore, not read, or not respond.
I can easily ignore a lot of nonsense, but this person goes way beyond that. Here's what he is saying about people with cancer: "So why are people scared of cacner ? My late wife dealt with cancer for the last 3 years of her life, and even in her death she doesn't deserve insults like this. No cancer patient does.
A lot of people deal with cancer. It is quite likely everyone in the usa, except for a few, get cancer several times a year (because of pollution (air, food, water)/ free readicals. What insult? Did you read the op. "We" as a nation, as a people, created the situation ourselves - cacner became popular and profitable. Did you and your wife learn the cure for cancer, and how to prevent it, in grade school? High school? Other school ? Was she or you yourself "scared" (of cacner or other things like doctor's opinions, what friends think, or church even ? ) . If you want to discuss how the country/ mankind/ got into this corruption, it is history, and we can discuss it as long as you want to. I know that what you are saying does happen, and have also been in a forum where the moderators and admin just read the complaints and didn’t investigate. However, what Ken has asked people to do when they see a spam post is 1), not respond to it , and 2) report it, so the spam post can be deleted. Once people respond to a spammer and it becomes part of the conversation in the thread, then it usually can’t be removed after that; so if some people enjoy interacting/arguing with the spammer, then the only other option IS the ignore button , for the rest of us.
