Mine, too. On the other hand, he doesn't drink or womanize, so I guess a garage full of tools isn't such a bad thing. :ROFLMAO: Also, if I need something fixed he ALWAYS has the right tool for the job.
Ah yes, a little known, almost secret move on the part of a good senior husband in that we have a tendency to invest in futures.

When we see a tool that might come in handy, we purchase it. We do so not to stress out our lovely mates but instead, we’re hoping that in the future we can manage that “honey-do” which makes a wife happy.
The more tools we have, the more honey-do’s we can polish off which makes a wife even happier.
It’s like elementary school. The more things the teacher likes, the more gold stars we get on the board until we qualify for the reward.

In the case of a senior husband, if he has the tools, he/we can fix stuff and eventually, the wife is soooo happy that she uh….makes lasagna or asks if he wants to go to Harbor Freight to buy more tools he probably won’t use but has a future potential to break the barrier between a happy wife or a REALLY happy wife.

Speaking very generally, sometimes you can misjudge the correct tool for the task or later find a better tool that does the job so well that the old one sits as a backup or a spare.

This principle can extend to other things that may not quite be "tools" but perhaps small appliances and such. Flashlights, 12 volt car tire inflators, and lawn sprinklers come to mind.

Exactly ! That is us, too.
Bobby has a whole shop full of whatever tools he wants, and uses them to take care of me and our home. The only downside is that any tool I get that I want to use in gardening efforts soon vanishes into “the Unknown” somewhere in his shop, never to be seen by me again.
I know I have bought small handsaws to cut back those unwanted small trees and bushes that always get out of hand, but there are none at all living in my little gardening tool box; so i will probably be ordering another one from amazon again this year.

Yup. Meant to tell ya about the one I ran over with the lawnmower.

Yes and all of mine are not only rechargeable but all 6 have USB ports to charge up other stuff that has USB. ports for charging up stuff that has USB ports to charge up stuff that has USB ports
Most of mine are, too. I have a few smaller ones that aren't, but I usually leave one in each of my jacket pockets in case I find myself outdoors after dark. Sometimes, I'll go for a walk along the sidewalks at night and get bored with that, and decide to walk home through the woods or along an ATV trail.

The gas powered weed whacker I bought was hard to start and never ran right. It took a special tool to adjust the carb so fools like myself would not mess with it and perhaps destroy the planet with emissions. I finally got it running right but its still a pain in the butt.
My husband bought a battery powered weed eater a few years ago. He likes it because he doesn't have to mess with using gas, or maybe it's the mixing of gas and oil he doesn't have to do. Well, whatever it is, he likes the battery operated weed-eater. :giggle:

Please tell him about the tiny mighty mice leaf blowers which run 50$ and have two batteries.

If we are talking husband tools ———-

Except for the rear ends, My husband put his own NHRA cars together —— every stinkin’ rotten inch of them and the tools are in his workshop to prove it. All neatly catagorized and squeaky clean. Only another mechanic would recognize some of those specialty tools.

My brother has taken a few pages from my husband’s workshop playbook while building his own. When he’s down here, helping me, he always sends up a prayer of hope that he cleaned and put away tools just as my husband would have.

As one of the other wive’s said, my husband did not hang out in bars, never did drugs, and stopped drinking beer after his 2012 heart attack. His workshop was his happily place and I was perfectly fine with that. My barn was my happy place and if something broke, he fixed it.

How many people do you know who would accidentally knock over a 46 inch barrel fan while it was running and bend the blade all to HAEL? I did that. It was the last thing my husband repaired before he got too sick to do anything. That was almost 3 years ago that I knocked that fan over and it is still running, nearly 12 hours/day during the hot months, without any clicks or hitches.

My brother knows he gets all of my husband‘s tools, and rightfully so because the kid’s a genius and can pretty much fix anything just like his brother-in-law was❤️❤️

Connie--it's obvious from your posts how much you adore your husband and miss him. I'm so sorry for your loss.
