    Unless it's a "cow-calf operation". Just saying.

Answering a question by asking a question is no answer at all. Be more specific on how the music differs and what gives it the "western" feel. The size of the congergation is irrelevant as we have several smaller community and traditional churches here than the cowboy one. Texas is famous for having small churches in even the smallest towns. Most of the congregation is ranchers or farmers. I am asking this question in good faith trying to find out how "Cowboy" churches differ from a small non-denominational rural community church. So far the only difference I can find is the acceptance of keeping your hat on during a worship service and western fashion dress is encouraged. The music doesn't differ that much from community churches. Sure there is a big difference between it and a megachurch, but my question is how does it differ from small non-denominational rural churches where ranch and farm people have gone for over 100 years? All I can come up with is the acceptance of "cowboy" hat-wearing during service.

I can tell you why, because they promote the stereotype of the old west cowboy for entertainment and profit. Now you tell me what makes a person deserving of the label cowboy and please be specific. If your answer is lifestyle then be specific about what that lifestyle consists of. I am serious about this question and have asked many over the years and again it all comes down to how one dresses that gives the image of the cowboy of old. If you go by the dictionary definition, then it is someone that works with cattle.

Lady Faye...I can't keep up with you!

You know more than I do about many subjects, except possibly Electrostatic Machines.

    Respectfully.....Hal

Which is good, because they have nothing to do with Cowboy Churches.

Whoa, there partner! Let's not be so hasty. Consider that cowboy hats are made from high static generating material. Then as we have been reminded so many times, cowboy hat-wearing is encouraged in cowboy churches. Could this be for the generation of static electricity? While I admire the craftsmanship of Hal's magic wheel, he might have accomplished the same thing by wearing a "cowboy" hat and attending a "cowboy" church.

Yes, on both a full-blown ranch and in the pro arena.
