You guys from England have been holding out! You have possessed [one of] the best kick back, tongue in cheek comedy movie series I have come across in years and you have been keeping it a secret!!

I came across a movie on YouTube and because I was a tad bored and real tired of hearing about the virus thing, I played the movie which was: Carry on, Hold onto your head”, a very British, almost Monty Python worthy type of movie.
For those other Yanks who have yet to have seen the series, this particular movie was about a English gent by the code name of “The Black Finger Nail”. A supposed master of disguises, he and his crew of 2 went about their way saving the old aristocracy of France from being beheaded via the guillotine during the near post French Revolution.

No cursing, no blatant sex but a lot of innuendos which take no imagination as to what was really meant but sometimes one must listen to catch them.
Names like Monsieurs Bidet and Camembert (a somewhat cheesy French fellow) are just two of the main characters in the cast and of course in the end, are foiled but how, when, where and why is your job to find out.

Oh yeah, it’s a little slap-stickish toward the last 15 minutes or so, but over all a wonderful comedy and a little relief from today’s constant improvised panic.
Note 2: The night after I saw Hold onto your head, I had to watch “Carry On, Doctor” which was also delightful!

I am pleased you have revived this thread of iconic Brit slapstick comedies from a past era @Bobby Cole. I have watched each of the 31 titles at least three times.. and still get a chuckle. One of the first movies I saw at boarding school was Carry On Nurse. Then shortly after came Carry On Cabbie. This film franchise has stood the test of time. They are like my funnies thread.. mildly rude and cheeky. You, I and Lois can watch one of the films at same time and talk about it. What do you two say? Bobby this is as close to a Carry On website I can find. https://www.comedy.co.uk/guide/group/carry_on/[/USER]

My all time favorite Carry Ons are Henry, Cruising, Nurse, Doctor and Camping. Below a scene from Cruising.. the first Carry On made in color.

Perhaps needs to be in the mildly rude thread. I will move if need to.

Everything involved with “Carry On” is going to be a little risqué’ but it’s a lot better than most of the movies I have seen that are rated PG13.

That said, Cinema IS a tad more than most of the Carry On’s I have seen thus far. Dunno.

I watched Jungle last night. Not as good as Hold onto your head, but funny nonetheless!
I think I’m going to take a break for a couple of days. I’m not much into binge watching comedy albeit I did watch 4 of them in 4 nights.
