My husband is connected with the copyright groups that is affiliated with World Intellectual Property Office. He has some videos with cover songs (which have copyright) and he knows it cannot be monetized. But most of his videos use music that he himself composed and performed that's why he was encouraged and quite confident that he can earn money. Sad thing, his youtube account shows a zero in spite of the countless of videos that he had uploaded.
