To be absolutely factual about it, no one here has EVER read any complaints from your wife.

Now…..how about Goldfield? There’s a lot of history there and yes, it gets cold and there’s probably a few cowboys still hanging around.
Well, not literally hanging around albeit they USED to hang ‘em there but I’m sure they quit doing all that.

Plus…..there’s a few lakes around the city too……

As an aside, let me say I have no actual knowledge about the business specifics for a website like this, but I can only suspect that the revenues are a function of traffic. Posts, or views, or maybe threads, must be a major factor. Given that, posters like the OP must be considered like little ATMs. This tread has almost 32,000 views and over 360 replies. And the OP has had other enduring threads with similar longevity. Hope he's getting a piece of the action.....

I don't believe this site it monetized, but others have also commented that the OP is a lean, mean, mega-thread machine. It's obviously not his first rodeo...so to speak.

Unless someone decides to donate, there is no revenue here. I'm not charging anything, I'm not selling anything, and I'm not asking for anything.

Ah, I was sort of following along with Cody’s move before my sabbatical if you can call my distraction a sabbatical.

I don’t think I’m much of a complainer but a recent conversation made me realize that when I get going I can give anyone a run for his money.

This year we’ve had overnight parking restrictions removed, the streets dug up for fiber Internet installation, city ordered major street repairs (at least they waited until after the digging up was finished). In addition to that three houses within hearing distance have also undergone complete tearouts and renovations. So much hammering and so many work trucks all summer and so many street parked cars now. All that to say I’m tired of the noise. My quiet neighborhood spent the summer in a state of chaos and I’m ready to shut the doors and windows.

On the good side, I must say I haven’t noticed anyone in a devil shirt here in my corner of Colorado.

I hope things get better for you and your wife where you are now, Cody, and that you both start feeling better physically.

I am glad you found something to like about your new apartment. I had agoraphobia when we first moved into this house; it was so big. But eventually I made it even bigger, finishing off the basement etc. You will get used to how large it is when you make it yours.
    Sorry about your IBS.

If you look waaaaayyyyy down the page on the far right, there is a place you can donate to help the site. Kinda a free will offering.

Well, on another website, wife and I are really being criticized for moving here. Only one member, on a thread I done, is giving us very good replies. I've already told all, with the exception of that one member, to stop criticizing us or I'll stop replying to them. They all think rodeo is a joke and can't understand why anyone would be a fan of it.

As of this writing, we aren't 100% positive that we will move out of Henderson next year, but I seriously doubt we can stand/handle the summer heat here. We have never lived where it's 114 degrees or close to that. Never got that high of heat in Jacksonville, FL, even with the high humidity. Whether we wind up moving to the Reno or Carson City area, will depend on how we feel after visiting both. But, not having to pay for airfare and hotel room for the National Finals Rodeo, is great. We will drive up to Vegas when that rodeo is here this coming December, but not every day of it. We will watch most of the rodeo action on our Cowboy Channel on our Roku device. But, wherever we wind up moving to, if that happens, we will stay close enough to Vegas that we can drive to the NFR, not fly. But, living in the Phoenix are is most definitely a NO.

Then again, we went out very little during the snowy times in Colorado, so we could do the same here during their high heat times. Will just have to wait and see how things go.

If everything goes well for you, I suspect you'll be complaining about heaven one day, @Cody Fousnaugh. Seriously, I think you should allow yourself to be happy wherever you are. If you like moving from one place to another, that's fine. I've done my share of moving around and hope to go full circle and be back in Michigan before I die, but I have found something to like about wherever I have lived.

Cody, I expect you’re going to like where you are a whole lot better in the winter months and it won’t be long now. Some of us will be complaining about how much snow we have and how cold it is and you’ll be enjoying the rodeo in your shirt sleeves.

Ditto that. While I am freezing my pattoot off, you will be walking around in shorts and flip flops, Cody. I am still glad you missed the flooding earlier.

Well, Ken, even though we now live in the biggest apartment we ever had, it's nice. Big, even perhaps too big. After putting a $20 dollar bill into a penny slot machine, at a local casino, and winning $40 plus dollars, I'm very happy. My wife doesn't do nearly as good, but it is nice to cover the money she lost playing a penny slot.

I will ask this, other than us, have you ever known anyone that moved to a location and, basically, it turned out to be a somewhat of a mistake move? And, they complained about it? However, I do believe that people, in general, would rather complain about Biden/Harris/Transgenders and money they aren't getting, than anything else.

Believe it or not, the weather here isn't as warm in December as you might think. We been here a number of times in December and have always started the morning out wearing long-sleeve shirts. And, have never actually gone to this "very large purse" rodeo at the UNLV Thomas-Mack Center, we've always watched it on a big-screen at a Strip hotel/casino or at South Point Hotel-Casino.

Another thing, the northwest cities of Nevada, don't get nearly as much snow/cold weather as we encountered the two times we lived in Colorado.
