Got out of bed and took off the top & bottom sheet and two pillow cases and put them in my washing machine. Took them out when washed and put them in the dryer. When I took them out of the dryer there was only one pillow case and the two sheets. I have looked every where-----behind the machines and off to the sides, under the bed. Not stuck in the machines or stuck to the sheets. We have all had missing socks which usually stick to one of the tumblers, but a large pillow case. DO YOU HAVE IT OR DDID MY WASHING MACHINE EAT IT?

Are you absolutely sure that one pillowcase isn't inside the other one?

It's my washing machine that eats things..not my dryer... o_O

It will turn up when you're not looking for it. Relax, pour yourself a glass of wine and forget about it.

That's what I do minus the wine.

Ren - I sympathise with you. Its one of life's mysteries and I've given a lot of thought to the subject of
missing items - I've come to the conclusion that Gremlins 'do' exist and they are a damn nuisance !

If you have a washing machine with an agitator, sometimes the items will get stuck between the agitator and the sides (inside of the machine) of the washer. When the agitator is in motion, apparently sometimes items will get pushed up and over that part and aren't visible unless you move the agitator around to look. Apparently that's where a lot of socks live.

Hi @Diane Lane - the thing is, Ren put them in the dryer
When I do the same, I make sure the 2 pillowcases are there to put into the dryer, I guess Ren did the same

Ahhh HA...I knew washing machines ate socks! IF your pillow cases made it all the way into the dryer ren, I'm not sure what to tell ya. Check to make sure it didn't get rollled up into the sheet somehow. That is something that truly could happen.
