My usual oatmeal. Then the spiced pecans that I made for my husband yesterday was calling me-staring at me, so I grabbed a few of those too.

We don't usually eat breakfast, but this morning I had a hankerin' for biscuits with sausage gravy. I have the cardiologist on speed-dial. :D

Oh man.... Biscuits and gravy.... One of our sons always insisted when we traveled that we stay at a hotel/motel that had that as a breakfast option.

So many foods and yet they ones we really like or the very ones we should not eat- on a regular basis. We love gravy and biscuits but seldom eat that ;)

I had Shredded Wheat the only way I'll eat it...with hot water poured over top and then drained off. Then topped with milk & sugar.

Shredded wheat was always my favorite as a kid. Yvonne Smith clued me in to steel cut oats during the cold months. I pan-toast it in ghee, then add slices of ginger root, some cinnamon sticks, maybe apples or peaches or berries as it slow-simmers in milk for 20 minutes. It's very tasty, and it stays with you for a while.

Sounds tasty. I just have cold milk on mine, I break up the shredded wheat first though so it's in smaller pieces.

It's on-the-verge-of-snow raining all day long, so instead of cereal & fruit I'm making eggs, scrapple & home fries. A nap may or may not be in the cards.
