I'm listening to the music from the 1940 musical film "New Moon" (which is the name of a ship), and the one song that has always moved me was the stirring, heroic, uplifting "Stout Hearted Men" sung by Nelson Eddy (if any of you can remember him).
If lovely Holly Saunders can transfer this 4-minute video to the Forum, I would again appreciate it!
So please humor me and give it 4 minutes of your time, my fellow Seniors!
Would you also be satisfied with me and this one?
Yes, Thomas...that's the one!
I watched the Jingle Bell Ball 2019 which took place in London over the weekend. A lot of good musicians performed, including my favorite.
Yeah, first good cry I've had in a little while...
The one above which didn't post properly was supposed to be this one...
Just in case no-one knows to which song that you're referring to of which I posted ...it's this one from way back this time 4 years ago.. ( crikey I can hardly believe it was 2015)
So easily relatable. Sometimes something like this happens during the course of a lifetime forcing us to bend.
I really enjoy perusing your thread Holly. Music marks those moments which signposts our memories allowing us to revisit glimpses of the past.
Oh so true, and that's why I love music so ...
Dropped into the Colvin House a coworking/event space and caught Jacob Sigman's set at a Sofar event. If you enjoy this he goes by the moniker afterdinnersig on all the streaming sites...
