I hadn't until lastnight, and I forgot to do a post on the documentary, I watched about her, on Netflix.

It was the most interesting thing I'd watched for a long time, so glad I am still willing to learn new things. Get out of my routine, watching habits;)

Truly an amazing, and mysterious sort of story. I guess I would call her an eccentric, and brilliant photographer, although she never showed any of her photos. They were found after her death. Anyway, here is the Youtube version of her documentary (the one I watched was on Netflix)

For me, her photographs are riveting, I can't think of any other way to describe them. If you watch it, do let me know what you think. A woman no one heard of, or her wonderful gift, until after her death.

What an interesting as well as sad soul. The woman had such talent. But many true great geniuses had tragedy in their back grounds. What an eye she had for the human kind.

I enjoyed watching the video @Denise Happyfeet, and I watched the whole piece. But my friend, both of us could take a lesson from her life. We need to join in with the world, instead of letting ourselves become reclusive.

You are so right @Ina I. Wonder I was out mingling today:) Now I have to eat a very, late lunch, lol;)

I am so glad you liked Vivian's work. I so agree, that she had a lonely life, and tragic because it talked about the family being totally split:( You said it so well when you said "an eye for the human kind" she sure did, just amazing, mesmerizing, and truly touched my heart and soul:)

I agree @patsy, especially about capturing history, the unwritten stuff:) Glad you enjoyed it. I instant messaged my sis lastnight to say hello, and she was actually watching the video:) I know she gets bored with what to watch. She said it was fascinating so I knew she was loving it;)

I searched for an hour for another documentary but couldn't find anything I felt so intrigued by. I'll keep looking. I just thing after I see something so good, it's hard to find anything soon after, that can be as good;) Netflix has tons of documentaries, but I think I may check Youtube tonight as well;)

Glad you enjoyed it, I'm glad I found it. It enriched my life to hear her story, and see those photos. I'm still wondering how on Earth she afforded all that film, plus traveled to all those places. She had to really save her money, she couldn't have earned a lot as a Nanny. But she was a pack rat, and all those un-cashed tax refunds?? Wow, she had to already have enough to do what she wanted and didn't bother to cash them, lol:) Funny how some folks can see so much beauty in life without all the frills, wonderful really;)

@Denise Happyfeet I found as,I have gotton older. I don't need so much. We moved to a smaller place. Gone are the days of a big 4 bedroomed detached and two cars. Getting a divorce taught me you don't need possessions.

I am now happily married and happy with less. Although my ex husband is still rattling around in that house.

@Patsy Faye when my husband first met me he thought I was eccentric. I am just nutty. I rarely take life seriously but I do like calm and for folk to get along x

    So do I
just prefer to be happy - there's enough unhappiness around us and I don't like to dwell on it :)
