    I used to be Superman
work the ground till my neck was tan
    Single-handedly cut down trees
Stand there and fight with bees
    Plow the ground
    Play with my Hound
Make compost higher than my head
Mix it with soil start a new bed
Plant those tomatoes, watch em grow
Wouldn't even Yelp if I stub my toe
Started to do less, season after season
I said to myself why there must be a reason
    It's just another stage
Oh no! when did I age
    The mirror it doesn't lie
    My hair needs some dye
Shucks that's just a cosmetic fix
    One of those Hollywood tricks
Gracefully age! you gotta be kidding
    I'm still here just hidden
I want to do what I could before
That's gone forever, know the score
    What do you mean?
    I just want to scream!
    Find new ways
    To make up my days
You earned this time, relax and enjoy
Earned! I did what I did for me, for this boy
Stopped doing what I love, but my memories I keep
Oh well! Nap time must get my sleep

Tony is this about you? Or just a saying.

What stops you from doing some of this now on a small scale?
We were just talking about getting back into some plants on a small scale, nothing like we use to.

It's mostly about me, gardening was a big part of my life. In January I'd start between 200 & 400 seedlings of vegetables and flowers. I enjoyed trying different varieties of tomatoes, peppers etc. Then age & my back went out so I started a smaller Garden a third of the size of what I had. My back continually got worse and the Garden kept shrinking. 2 years ago I started doing container garden because I couldn't get down on the ground to plant, I had about 16 containers all the plants were purchased. Now I'm down to five containers I'm working on trying to get my back in better shape.
My limits have changed for just about everything I do in the yard these days.

Totally understand your position since we are there also on the most part. Hubby has all kinds of metal in his back cages, rods nuts bolts and screws from emergency infusion. He takes no pain meds at all for past couple of years as they turned on him big time. Seems you never get adjusted. Now and then he has a couple beers to relax.
I'l have a Bloody Beer [V-8 or tomato juice] myself at times but most of it goes into compost pile from age.
We are going to do the same with hydroponic and containers this fall. Will start seeds early next month inside.
