Top left of the forum page you're on... 3 coloured dots... red , orange and green... click the orange one, it will minimise the forum into the corner...

When you want to re-open it.. just click on the box in the bottom right corner where it'll be sitting waiting for you...

Hal, you definitely should NOT have gone with Apple. That would be even more unfamiliar processes for you to learn. You are not a stupid man but you need to just put some effort into trying to learn; Win10 is really not much different from 7 since the basics are the same.

I believe the problem is that you don't have a clear understanding of the basics of computing; why don't you sign up for an adult "intro to computers" class? Then when someone says "minimize a window" you won't be so frustrated.

Not sure why, but i prefer my Apple / Mac. My first was a Toshiba / Windows. Once i got my first Mac, found it so much less confusing than Windows......but it doesn't take much to confuse me.:rolleyes::rolleyes:.

Read Beths' reply... it seems you won't have coloured dots because you don't have a Mac, so go back and read @Beth Gallagher 's reply about using Windows..

Avatars are much smaller than the photos we usually post in the threads. The ideal size is 200x200 pixels. If you resize your photo to 200x200 pixels, it should upload for you. Otherwise, if you post it in this thread, I'll see to it.

I have W10 for Dummies AND W10 for Seniors.
    Neither helps.

Help, trying to get a photo up here, but seem to be stuck in a sideways position! What can I do? (The picture is oriented vertically, maybe that's the problem?)

(OK, never mind, I removed the sideways picture of me and substituted this one of the original "Sunny," our late, beloved golden retriever. She was much prettier than I am anyway!)

I fixed it for you, but I see that you've replaced the picture while I was doing so. If you'd prefer the original photo, right-side-up, let me know, and I'll put it in for you.

Reducing the size/pixels of the photo may also help.
