    From The Epoch Times

Restrictions including COVID-19 passes, mask mandates, and work-from-home guidance will be removed in England, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced on Wednesday. Johnson also suggested that self-isolation rules may also be thrown out at the end of March as the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus pandemic becomes endemic. Effective immediately, the UK government is no longer asking people to work from home. The COVID pass mandate for nightclubs and large events won’t be renewed when it expires on Jan. 26. And from Thursday, indoor mask-wearing will no longer be compulsory anywhere in England.
More at source. I am wishing we had less sheep here in the U.S. and more who'd stand up to the masking, distancing and vaccination tyranny.

I think that's what the US needs to do. Open up and let the hair go with the hide. I'll take precautions that I deem necessary for me and let others make their choice.

Austrlia is following the same trend , however we will continue to wear our masks and do what we need to do to protect ourselves.

From the comments on that article, people in the UK are the same as the US... they are either "vaxxers" or "non-vaxxers" and no amount of evidence is going to convince either side. I continue to wonder why on earth people who are vaccinated care so much about the ones who aren't?? All the hysteria is just ridiculous.

Simple. The hospitals became overrun with non vaccinated people infected with Omicron (not to mention Delta). While Omicron may cause fewer deaths and hospitalizations, more people became infected. If Omicron is the last variant, they will stop caring.

But most Vaxxers probably didn't know anyone who works at a hospital or had to go into the hospital. So why should they care. Right?

If I added anything to this thread, it would be more of an "I just don't know". We just ordered another box of masks and won't go into any store or restaurant without one on. For the last year or so, we've only ate inside a restaurant a couple of times. As most of you know, we've both been vaccinated with the Moderna-2 shots (me) and Phizer 2-shots (wife) along with the Booster and the Senior High Dose Flu Shot.

We flew to Vegas and wore our mask in the airports, on the plane and in the casinos. Took the mask off while we were eating/drinking, but put them on to get food from the buffet. Had them off, in a room full of people, while watching the rodeo on a big screen. After being around so many people, we didn't get sick.

Now, this "we didn't get sick" was due to being completely vaccinated and wearing a mask or just "luck"? We have continued to get "take out" or "drive-thru" food, which means, not going inside a restaurant. But, that will change next Friday, when we go out for my wife's birthday. Will wear a mask in, but once seated to eat, it will come off, but go back on if we need to go to a restroom.

For us, we simply don't want to take any kind of chance and continue with mask wearing. What others do, well..........

this is awesome and I'm going to pray big!! Figures England would have the guts to do this!! Good for Boris!! I'm with you on the "sheep" situation here in the US, and look who our "fearless" leader is, baaaaaaaaaaaahhhh! He has to check and see if he can say something or not before he speaks, what a laughing stock this administration is and the people that voted them in!!

Honestly, I don't know and I don't care. As far as I have heard, there are just about as many vaccinated people crowding the hospitals as not vaccinated. Maybe the people who've been vaccinated should be sent home because they are "safe" and don't need to be crowding the hospitals.

Omicron will not be the last variant. Covid is here to stay, in one form or another... just like the flu. There will always be another vaccine, another booster, blah, blah.

I have stayed home, followed the mandates, hidden from my life for nearly two years. People who want the vaccine, by all means... have it. People who don't want it should not be FORCED to have anything injected into their body that they do not want. The vaccine isn't keeping anyone from getting sick or going to the hospital.

I finally had the first vaccine last Monday, but only because I made up my own mind to do so. I still don't know whether it was the right thing to do, but I do know that the more "mandates" are kicked around, the more adamant I become about NOT following them.

This ^ I am so with, it's time to try something else since those leading the show have unsatisfactory results in my opinion. Maybe it's my age that I am willing to try the herd immunity thing, go back to our lives, if we had one, but young people that I certainly respect their lives, and right to live it, probably see things much different than I do.
