We ended up getting a fair amount of snow, probably a foot and a half or more, but it's hard to tell because it came with some high winds, so some spots were drifted heavily while others didn't have a lot of snow. It was enough that I spent more than three hours clearing it with the snowblower, but that included my neighbor's sidewalks. Since most of the snow came early in the night, it had gotten pretty wet and heavy by morning, and the town had time enough to create a packed block about five feet high at the end of my driveway. I would rate it as the second biggest snowstorm we've had this winter, the biggest being about a month ago.

You were actually quite an intriguing sight out there with the snowblower, @Ken Anderson . It is all over Facebook today......

I think that winter is over for us here. We still have a few feet of snow on the ground and, although it's above freezing, it will take a while for it all to melt. We might see some more snow, but I don't expect any more significant storms. I have been wrong in this before, however.

Can I just tease you and say that it is 80 here right now, @Ken Anderson ? We are talking about that it is time to put away the heavy winter clothes and find the tank tops and cut-offs. Bobby has already been working outside without his shirt and is starting to get a suntan, and I am envious.
I have been working in the yard the last few days, and everything is starting to look green here. I started some lettuce seeds and if the squirrels and birds don't eat them, they should sprout.
Our peach tree is in bloom; but the poor fig tree had its tender little leaves frozen off by the 20 degree weather we had a week or so ago.

It's snowing pretty heavy here today. It looks like I'm going to have to get the snowblower out again.

We are supposed to get several inches of wet (heavy) snow this weekend. Oh goody! It looks like we'll have great weather for Easter. All they'll have to do is bury the eggs in the snow.

It snowed again last night. At this point in the year though, unless there's so much of it that we can't drive through it, we don't shovel it, or blow it -- we simply wait for it to melt. We're supposed to have 70-degree weather next week.

In Maine, April showers bring snow plowers.

In Arizona there is currently large snowpack in the mountains, good runoff filling the reservoirs, enormous abundance of desert flowers blooming in the lower elevations due to the unusually wet winter, and low temps. among towns range from 34 degrees in Flagstaff to 60 degrees in Laughlin. The two towns are only 180 miles apart.

We had a good run off from our mountains also this year...there were even flood warnings.

It's pouring now and has been all night.

A lot of rain here too. Our snow is going. I still have a couple of feet of snow in my yard, but we're seeing some bare spaces.

That is a good sign, @Ken Anderson ! Maybe around the time that we have tomato plants in bloom and the swimming pool set up in the back yard, you won't have to be out there wading though snow anymore. (Can you tell that I am happy not to be living where it snows ?)

It's been in the 70s here, and it feels like 90s. We still have a lot of snow on the yard but my paths are getting wider.

Drat! It's snowing again. We have almost no snow left on our yard though. Just a few patches where it was the deepest, and I'm sure this snow will be gone soon after the sun comes up but still...

It's been in the 60s and 70s for awhile, but is supposed to snow this weekend. Glad I didn't pack away my winter jacket like I'd planned to.

We finally have something resembling spring here. I just hosed away the last remnant of ice from our back yard about an hour ago. We still have a small patch of ice in our front yard, I think.
