Someone has an apple, who wants it ?

Good old Gramps

MY HOUSE ;
That was a fun and entertaining read first thing in the morning, @Jeff Tracy ...thanks for putting in the time and effort.
I hate Halloween ......
But if you come to my house Trick or Treating, I'll give you an apple.
A poisoned one?
If you wanna cut it up fer me...so I can chew it better
Who knows? Who wants to take the first bite?
Bah humbug to all of you holiday spoilers.
I used to love Halloween and still do if I'm at the youngest grandsons house. Not so fun in Fresno with no kids but I still like seeing all the creative costumes...just don't like jumping up every minute to hand out candy or Listening to Pickles bark non stop.
Guess I'll always be a kid at heart.
How about if I chew it for you?
Awwwww, c'mom! I'll spit out the seeds.
@Jeff Tracy said he volunteers.
That's a great idea! He seems to be a man who doesn't mind taking risks.
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
“’Tis some visitor,” I muttered, “tapping at my chamber door—
Only this and nothing more.” Or could it be Jeff come for his apple-
But the fact is I was napping, and so gently you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I heard you”—here I opened wide the door;—
And yes 'twas Jeff come calling for his apple - nothing more.
