When I look over the movies and series that are in the Trending section of Netflix, one thing that jumps out at me is that people watch a lot of crap. Rarely is there anything that I want to watch in the Trending section.

Agree. And with the influx of the new "woke" culture, I'm more apt to be watching a movie from the 1980s or '90s when people were still sane.

I totally agree with both of your comments,we stopped our Netflix sub about 4 years ago .We started watching a couple seriies or our favorite YT people instead. We had already watched many reruns of old movies and what few new ones we thought we may like.
We really enjoyed the series 'Person Of Interest'
The first 3 episodes of ' Schitts Creek' before it got radical and ugly.

The “Trending” section is pretty lame but the way the algorithm is set up for their suggestions is “fairly” accurate with their percentile rating.
That said, somehow “Wednesday” popped up (50% match up) and just to be curious about the spin-off of the Adams’s Family series, I tuned in.
The 1st episode took me about a week to do the “on and off” viewing because it seemed pretty stupid and I can’t watch stupid stuff for any longer than about 10 minutes but when you’re bored…..?

Anyway, I finally started the 2nd episode and almost sadly at the time, it started to make sense and even more sense as the mystery(s) involved unfolded.
I guess the bottom line is that Wednesday is well written (past the 1st episode), the photography and costumes are above average and there really is a plot.
It’s actually a pretty good series.
