The Today Show takes a pretty superficial look at what voters in Maine's 2nd District are concerned about, including a segment in Millinocket.
@Ken Anderson I gather that Maine is a relatively sparsely-populated state. If so, that explains many things which are absent there, socially, that prevail in the heavy-density (population) states. Yet, Maine's physical location is not that far away from the vast money-empire states of the East Coast. Does that proximity influence Maine, perhaps due to influx of moneyed-vacationers, or East Coast investors hoping to cater to the former? Frank
Yes, the Massholes who come in to buy vacation homes, while claiming to be year-round residents, are a major source of high prices and high taxes, as they want to move to a town of 1,000 and have all of the amenities of Boston. They want the town, county, or state to provide all of their services, and we all have to pay for it. Of course, they also vote for things like gun control, open borders, etc.
