And that is what we will be eating today, along with hot dogs, home made chili, and oven fries. Although we usually would be sharing these burgers and dogs with my daughters and their families I don't think that will be happening this year as most of my family came back from their Florida Beach vacations with croupy coughs, fever, and various other signs of a virus, etc. They are getting better but I don't think anyone is up to a family gathering today. I don't know to many people who don't like hamburgers but even burgers have changed over the years. We do oven baked or grilled burgers and my Honey and I like mayo and mustard, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles on them. How do you like your hamburger?
I don't eat a burger unless I'm at my daughter's. Probably the last time I fixed one at home was when my ex grilled them outside. Other than that its maybe once a year at In-N-Out burger.
@Babs Hunt , I don't know of anything that tastes better than a thick, juicy hamburger cooked over charcoal until it has just a tiny strip of pink in the middle. I like mine with 1000 Island dressing, lettuce, tomato and catsup on them.
The ones I made today are mixed with a package of Ranch Chive and Onion mix, Tony Chachere cajun seasoning, garlic powder and shredded cheddar cheese. I just finished oven baking them a short while ago. I like my Honey's grilled burgers too although I like mine well done with no pink. He had to work half a day today so I am doing the cooking.
Chili-cheese burgers (or hotdogs) would be the favorite. Second choice would be a Mayo spread (Mayo mixed with Wasabi, and hot beer-mustard). I also like to dice vidalia onion and a poblano pepper super fine, and mix it into the hamburger. When you fry the patty, the juices in the onion and pepper go into the meat.
